Was Emeka ,the only son of Sir Lois Ojukwu?

Where is West African Pilot and the media empire of Zik?

Where are the children of Gen Sheu Musa Yar'Adua and his business empire?

The truth is that Nigerians don't know much about generational transfer of Wealth because we have very few true entrepreneurs.

Most of our rich men become rich through Government patronage and once the founder died or out of the patronage circle, his business empire crumble.

Lucky Igbinedion became Governor and so what? Didn't Fayose, Rochas Okorocha and Capt Idris Wada who are children of nobody become Governors?? Where are his private companies and how many people are employed in his private companies?

SLAP44:

It still works, ojukwu used his dad's fortune to buy bullets.

Igbinedion son became governor

Kola Abiola is still a billionaire, go and find out. None of these looting governors is as wealthy as Kola Abiola. FG revoked several oil licenses including that of IBB, Abdulsalami, Obasanjo, TY Danjuma, even that of Buhari's in-law Muhammed Indimi. The oil belongs to the masses and not few heartless elites who have been holding the masses to ransom. FG plans to redistribute the Oil licenses to States so that the States can have more money instead of individuals. There is no reason why Muhammed Indimi who is from Maiduguri or Folorunsho Alakija who is from Osun will be owning Oil Wells in Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom while the people who owns the land where the oil is located are houseboys and gatemen to the oil usurpers.

Who feed you this lie.?

Op, you just reminded me of one famous Bini (Edo) man, who said on a national TV broadcast and I quote:

Igbos are the only people that love Nigeria and unite Nigeria freely and genuinely.

Igbos are the only Nigerian tribe you can find in all parts of Nigeria living and doing business peacefully and not just living there in tents or makeshift houses, but they invest heavily in any state of Nigeria they live.

They employ people of the state they live. They build mansions wherever they live. They invest wherever they live without prejudice, yet we other Nigerians treat them with hatred, it is very unfair to humanity!

The man continued...

I am not Igbo man, I am Bini by tribe but I must say the truth!

Fulanis go to all parts of Nigeria too but do they invest in the communities they go to NO! Why They are wicked, they are tribalistic and very selfish, they hate civilisation and mixing up, plus they know they are troublemakers so they prefer to live in the thick forests in temporary tents waiting to run after they cause trouble to their host communities!

....and he concluded by asking a very vital question that goes like this:

How many Yorubas or Hausas own houses, investments, hotels, industries, schools, shops, etc in Igbo states or outside their Yoruba or Hausa-Fulani states I can tell you none or maybe the few super rich ones, and why is it so It is simply because they are cunning, they are tribalistic and very selfish, they always think Igbos or other tribes will take over their investments and properties if there is any national political disagreement just as they do to Igbos have been through a lot in Nigeria, they have been hated, nameshamed, marginalized, killed severally yet they maintain liberal mind, travel to all Nigerian states, invest in all Nigerian states, marry from all Nigerian tribes yet we hate and treat them unfairly

And in his final remarks, he said:

Igbos are the thread holding Nigeria's unity. They are the bridge that connect all Nigerian states and tribes. Igbos travel freely to all Nigerian states and live there and marry from there and invest heavily in their host states and communities yet Yoruba and Hausa-Fulanis hate this amazing tribe, believe me, there is something special about the Igbos that we other Nigerians are hiding

I wish you can track the video of the interview so that it can be redistributed across the globe.

Have you noticed that things don't work like that in Post colonial Africa?

How many companies in Nigeria are ran by third Geneations of the founders?

Where are the children of Sir Louis Ojukwu, Sir Mobolaji Bank-Anthony, Emmanuel Inwanyawu, Gabriel Igbinedion, Candido Da-Rocha, Fajemirokun? They had great head start ahead of people like Tony Elumelu,Jimoh Ibrahim, Jim Ovia, Adenuga or Raymond Dokpesi.

The reason why that happens is a sad a nd long story....let's just say some wounds are self inflicted.

Among those who now have one less oil bloc to boast about are billionaire businessman Dr Festus Fadeyi whose company Pan Ocean Oil Corporation lost its rights to OML 98, northern oligarch Aminu Dantata whose ownership of OML 108 through Express Petroleum and Gas Company was revoked, and Borno billionaire Alhaji Zanna Mai Deribe who lost his company Cavendish Petroleum Nigeria’s OML 110. Also affected were OMLs 120 and 121 which were revoked from Allied Energy Resources Plc owned by US-based moneybag Kase Lawal.

Also, why can't Niger Delta governments get together, and buy some oil blocs with technical partners...and money earned can be invested in their states?

All this Northerners this, Northerners that.....what are your leaders and rich men doing? Don't some non-Northerners too have oil blocs.?Did anyone stop them?

As a man, endeavor to always do right by God and it will be well with not just you but your future generation. M.K.O Abiola was a philanthropist no doubt. He however did somethings in the dark which a lot of people aren't privy of. What you see happening today is a manifestation of some of his not too pleasant deeds.

In fairness to Kola, he did all he could. I am aware he conducted DNA for all claimants to Abiola's fortune/will and settled the true heirs. However, there's something known as the sins of the fathers. . . pray that your end does not bring untold hardship to the ones you love, better still, start correcting whatever wrong you must've done by virtue of your position in society today.

A good man lives an inheritance for his children

Not necessarily.

Was reading an article about this issue several years ago...and the long and short of it is that, family businesses in Nigeria don't last long because

1.Mr Rich man's kids and relatives treat the company like a disposable piggy bank....ready to dip in and collect money.

2.Secondly, most family run companies are not very independent of the family.

In America, when Henry Ford...the founder of Ford Motors died, his grandson Henry Ford II became the CEO (the son died a few years earlier). Grandson had some ideas...but all of them were losing the company money. So the Board of Ford Motors sacked him, paid him off handsomely...and employed someone not linked to the family as CEO.

No Nigerian family run company would do that (though I suspect Dangote would).

3.Abiola had too many children...meaning he spent little time with them...and the only contact he had with them was...give them money. So, when he died...that's how the children treeated him...money bank.

4.Politics and the economy.

This is where the problem lyes, God bless the president for what? when such singular action has not started imparting on the country's economy yet, and let's hope the revoked licences are not given to their cronies, because it might lead us to no where again. Invariably, due process should be followed in its reawarding and it should also cut across the regions (evenly balanced) and not one sided.

He missed out, many amoung the igbos dont see issues with crime and decadence; immorality is rife amoung Igbo youths, they sell fakes as originals and are the first to smuggle contraband from neighbouring countries that ultimately allow local industries to die a slow painful death.

Igbos are industrialists but they are unprincipled, anything goes for your typical igbo. They are the biggest pegans too, while disguising as christians, which itself is the bridge to peganism.

But Igbos do have one charming trait, they work hard no matter the situation they find themselves, and that is something we can all learn from.
