Honourable Governor without being disrespectful ,your views are shallow and strange .How many people can afford the cost of a plane ticket from Akure to Lagos?
How many people have Armed Escort?

I give up.

Which yeye advantage, how many people have money for flight.. Shay na all of us get convoy, that Ibadan-Akure road has been like that for a while now but dem no care, after he passed through what measures has he taken to ensure that such doesn't linger on.. I read an account of a woman who was abducted alongside her family on that road, it was traumatising. Please they should do something and he shouldn't come out and be saying shit.

That Woman's story was very Horrible.

You had the opportunity to reduce the number of kidnappers on that route but you failed by just merely scaring them away to let you pass. I would have expect you to order your security to run into them before opening fire. You can even order some of your security to go after them with a strict order that they must be arrested while you continue your journey. So, your securities are just there to intimidate and clear holdup for you to pass. Your orderly is scare and he showed lack of confidence to protect you and you are still keeping him. On this occasion I offer three awilo for you: uhuuu! Uhuuu! Uhuuuu!

Talking security my @ss! He failed to act and secure that road.

He caused kidnappers to retreat into bush when his ADC fired warning shots. He identified kidnappers, no consequence, no arrest, no shoot at sight and kill, no body bag.....but now the people coming behind governor on that road are at risk.

This Governor is telling us kidnapping is a trend and to bear through it like we did armed robbery. People did not bear through armed robbery, we just did not have choice and many people lost lives and property. Is the Governor advising us that government will treat kidnapping and terrorism like they did arm robbery.....use citizen lives and bloodshed to earn security allocations?

This Governor should not return to govern anywhere in Yorubaland. We donate him to go govern in SE.
APC belongs to Southwest but a curse to Southeast, So enjoy your government that can not provide security for his people rather he is saying you are on your know with your next level grin

rail system will not solve the problem of insecurity on the roads, the kidnappers will just start targeting rail tracks.

Ok. It is good you quickly jettison "talking politics" in favor of security, which should have been your concern ab initiio; even though your main intention remains politics, which is veiled in your last paragraph about preventing "this governor" from returning to "govern anywhere in Yorubaland".

Be that as it may, can you tell how many Fulani kidbappers have been shot at sight... or killed by any governor or security agency?

Since Fayose left last year, how many so-called SW governors have raised any issue with the Fulanis activities in the SW?

Akeredolu's statement is a confirmation of what ordinary people fear that the governors (especially in the SW) cannot curtail the rampaging jihadists without offending their lords.

The Buhari that all of them are sucking up to does not joke with "his people". El Rufai the "heir apparent" has left to one in doubt in words and deeds that "his people" are more important to him than any other person. Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso is the first person to deploy resources to effect the release of "his people" any time they have issues.

We have heard governors shouting in the North, including the governor of Buhari's Kastina State, for help in combating security challenges in their domains. Why then are all SW governors keeping mum so as not to offend their masters? What about the VP? Do they not have any attachment to the their own land and people?

Is 2023 presidency worth the land, blood and lives of the SW people? Why are they treating this threat like the people just have to live with it till "they allow us the presidency in 2023"; as this governor is saying? How many people will be left in 2023? How much Yorubaland will still be left from the occupation of the invaders? This is clearly an existential threat but it is being treated as politics.

save your breath because the oyorubas are like lemmings inexorably heading off a cliff and into the deep blue sea in their morbid, self-immolating and impossible imagination to be the zoo's president in 2023!!!

look at the guy who you just engaged. instead of dealing with the crux of the matter which you presented on how the oyorubas quest for the presidency is leading to the taking over of their lands by jihadists, he instead delved into the semantics of your write-up, stating complete inconsequentials like telling you what is the relationship between security and politics as if you don't know!!!

this is how they'll keep burying their heads in the sand until 2023!!!

let me hope, for the easterners' sakes who live mostly in lagos, that the jihadists don't get to lagos before 2023!!!

We have never had any Yoruba politician talk like this. Never! Thats why I said Akeredolu does not belong in our political class at all. This is not his first time and it is coming to me now that Akeredolu once asked what Yorubas want him to do with his wife if Ibos were sent back to their ancestral home.

He is an outlier amongst Yoruba politicians....and its not hard to see why...he is married to Ibo! His political calculations and sentiments are abrasive....not your typical politically savvy Yorubaman. He is best fitted for Governance in Iboland.

We dont talk about security in Yorubaland the way this man just addressed security in his domain. God forbid!
