Stop yapping rubbish just to justify so much waste Okorocha brought to the useless Imo state. See the same shabby dirty sandy road here laid bare from aerial coverage. So much shanties and old houses in Owerri. Ihedioha need to embark on massive demolision of houses if he want to change this place from its village status cool

Artificial trees are ornamental trees that have the advantage of being "already grown" unlike the natural ones that take a while to grow. 2ndly artificial trees can be installed on concrete pavements unlike the natural ones as seen here.

Imagine his children and so many of the Eastern governors children bagging big degrees from universities abroad.....probably as a result of their fathers positions....

That is one reason these Warrant chiefs cannot dare develop their land so as to not compromise their already compromised “personal projects”...

People of Imo state, I'll advise you to ignore those hawks and vultures up there screaming sabotage. Rochas was and is still a disaster to the people of Imo. If Ihedioha is spending the early period of his administration exposing the rot in Rochas administration, then it is because there is something to expose in the first place. I don't understand how anybody will empathize or even attempt to defend a monumental failure in governance as Rochas. You should know that the APC media is trying to spin the failure of Rochas and make it look like that the new governor is clueless. They did it in 2014, look at where we are now. APC is a huge propaganda machinery, if you are not a critical thinker, you will be easily swayed. They don't mind spending money on media hirelings to look good in the eyes of the public when they are rotten to the core. To quote a prominent Senator " They spray perfume on faeces".

Natural trees would be a disaster and waste if you guys cannot maintain artificial trees that are relatively easy to maintain...
People seem to have this misguided notion that you just stick natural trees onto the sidewalk and let it flourish. It requires a LOT of care.

What is d "lot of care" that goes into "maintaining" organic trees compared 2 artificial trees?

Artificial trees, once properly installed, is pretty much set...
Natural trees, on the other hand, have to be REPEATEDLY watered, “fed”, pruned, checked for bugs/disease, etc.

I agree. I don't no how much it cost 2 buy an artificial tree or d cost of d various activities u mentioned, but I believe that in d long run whatever is spent on grooming trees is worth it. With all that has been spent on d plastic trees, they still fell. it shows d govt has incurred a loss. Once again, I don't c d aethestics &d beauty artificial trees add. Also, environmental sustainability should b an objective of any modern day govt& artificial trees can't guarantee that objective. So in d long run, u are better of with organic trees

But my point is if you cannot maintain the easy one, the harder one will be a disaster.

Google palm tree manage.

1. They grow and shed all over the place and when they do, hope and pray they don't fall on you.

2. To prevent such hazards, you have to hire and pay people or send city workers to climb and trim the tree.

3. What they have in Imo state is maintenance free, they won't grow or overgrow, they won't shed and fall on people and you definitely don't have to pay 1 kobo to have it trimmed or maintained.

This is common sense, but not really common on NL.

You can’t start building on a faulty foundation. The defects should be spotted and corrected first. If it means getting rid of the old foundation and starting a new and a well reinforced one, it’s worth it.

Elected officers should be held accountable for the mess that they cause the society.
Rochas is filthy and worse than a million Naira Marley and his supporters. In a sane society, someone like him will be in underground prison atoning for his greed, wastages, corruption and lack of vision.

Rochas must have afflicted you with his iberiberism type of common sense. South East states need trees to hold the vulnerable soil together not mr Rochas’s fake palm trees.
Organic palm trees are not the only trees that could be planted for either the beautification of the environment or for ecological reasons.

That tree is a pollutant and deserve no space in sch a place but of course mr Okorocha just lije his peers do not listen to or consult experts in such subjects. That’s why he mounted a statute of Jacob Zuma of all people so as to propagate some personal and selfish goals.
Of all the lessons and ideas he’d copy from Dubai, it’s their fake and flashy palm trees! Nonsense.

Lack of common sense was the initial reason for your ignorant and unintelligent question because, at your old age, you should know the difference between artificial and organic including maintenance.

Other ornamental trees are not the topic of discussion, we are talking about the ones the former governor of Imo state installed that you lawless, antisocial and destructive elements are destroying.

The artificial trees fixed at major roads in Owerri, Imo State capital by former governor of the State, Rochas Okorocha, have started falling one after the other.
Some of the trees began to rot from the base and fell as the strength of the material caved in.

Parts of the state capital could be seen littered with fallen artificial trees meant to beautify the town.
