Nigeria - aged 50 but still a toddler. Nothing has changed. It is a story of retrogression. Watch the under-mentioned parts carefully and try to understand the import of the statements made by these oyinbo men.

04:20 - 04:45 minutes (After 50 years, the only difference in the way the man (farmer) cultivates his farmland is that he now wears trousers and not loincloth).

15:00 - 16:00 minutes (About 4 billion US dollars stolen by our leaders since independence).

19:10 - 19:20 minutes [Our Per Capita Income (2010) is lower than that of 1960].

You know nothing about economics. . . grin

Have you heard of inflation? Our per capita income is actually lower now than in the 1960 when you include inflation.

If u want to go the inflation route. . then it will apply to every country in the world

For example in the USA adjusted for inflation the chrysler bailout of about $30billion in only 1980 is worth more than $200billion in todays dollars

So dont give me that inflation crap

Our GDP is much larger

better literacy rates

largest IT/Telecoms sector in Africa and top 15 in the world

with the so called primitive farming we still have no famine, and feed our large population

Industrial output has grown and cannot be compared to 1960

and so on. . .

On most threads, you won't stop making comments until you have successfully celebrated ignorance. Nigeria has the largest IT sector in Africa? Talking about subscribers, abi? Is that the most important? On that basis, the sector is one of the largest in Europe.

No famine in Nigeria, abi? This statement tells me you are a complete nutter.

U know what. . move to iceland if u dont like Nigeria. .

am tired of arguing with Ignorant types like u online

Nigeria has the highest number of subscribers of Internet and cellphones in Africa
This brings about the largest Telecomms FDI in the continent

The FAO food report of food self sufficiency in Africa lists Nigeria as sufficient in food production
without any need for food aid. . .

Yes we import food. . but it is ppl that have acquired taste for foriegn food. .
that means ppl that are wealthy enough to shun local for imports of things like cereal and rice

again all these reports are online if u care to look for them

If u actually believe Nigeria was better off in 1960 than today then u need to get your head examined

WEIRDO!

That TKB417 thinks this weirdo is one of the sharpest brains on nairaland is of great concern. So, your country is the best because of the number of unproductive subscribers you have. How does the number of mobile phone subscribers equate to the general well-being and livng standard of Nigerians.

This muppet needs to spend some time in the Antartica. We need to get your brain completely frozen.
