LASG should enforce this law in Apapa, let them fulfill their promise. Apapa is now a dustbin site, dirty, filthy and traffic gridlock every day. One way driving is the best in Apapa if you don't want to sleep on the road. |

The politicians who make this law are mostly the lawbreakers. |

First this law will create accidents and many more casualties on an already over crowded lagos as offenders will be desperate to get away not to get their vehicles seized even if means hitting pedestrians to get away.second this will create more corruption among enforcement agencies that can demand as much as a million naira from you.To put in their private pockets and not state cofers this the type of laws that make foreigners call Nigeria a monkey republic.why not impose heavy fines like its done in countries with saner government.Apc is actually encouraging corruption among our enforcement agencies on a bigger scale instead of fighting it who is fooling who. |

Anyone else noticed that the offences and the penalties are world apart? 3 years for traffic offence? How many years for politicians stealing our money? |

my own opinion, this menace of driving mad not obeying traffic is a long time craze in Lagos, the punishment fits it cos in other countries even in Ghana here i am sure that their traffic law is not lenient on offenders and cant be toyed with and for the fact that the law respects no nationals respect no skin colour respect no public status I commend the Lagos state effort and all the people saying it is not good the law is tough bla bla can you try this in US Russia, UK so talking as if its a normal thing, the reason why it looks normal is because gvts have been joking with such issues for long, today they take it serious tomorrow the officials would even be the ones encouraging such act after collecting bribe same should apply on waste management in the state. its because we spoil our states that is why when foreign nationals are encouraged to spoil it more, I think the Lagos state government should do more public awareness about the law and the consequence on media publications etc so they won't say they did not know also the presence RRS should be seen on all roads in lag so their impact would be felt, good job |

Please this is too much. How can you forfeit a car of between 250k and 10m for a traffic offense? And jail time, when our prisons are already congested. I don't think it's fair to wait for those that would fall victim, civil rights organisations should take LASG to court over this. It's like saying if you steal meat from your mother's pot and someone steals millions from the bank, you both spend 7 years in prison. |

Admin401: Correction, it should be: 'You can't treat monkey like pig, wtf!!!.' When caricaturing races using animals you should always make the effort to balance the scale. if blacks are monkeys, whites are pigs or honkey ( the noise pigs make) and mixed race are honkeymonkeys , alright. Thanks. |

I only pity those bike man taking brt lane coz a yellow bus driver sees a task force officer ahead of him, he will drive rough not considering any one coz he wont want to be arrested or his bus to be impounded. |

I like the forfeiture part. Just change the colours to that of law enforcement and voila!!!, enough patrol vehicles then those envying the Mercs and Beemers of Dubai police can understand how it happens. |

Punishment is too severe. It may be subject to abuse and biased application. |

AutoReportNG: Sometimes, people drive on one way unknowingly, maybe because of no sign, no not familiar with the area. I once went to drop a friend in yaba, and she directed me to take a road that we both didn't know was a one way road. I had to pay a fine for that. Making the penalty that stiff will seem unfair to people in such situations 1 Like |

Flier: It's a step in the right direction...... The type of congestion that happens in Lagos...... Cannot be healthy........ Starting work at 8am, but you leave your house @4am...... You trouble repeats itself on your way back home...... Either leave office very late or be prepared for another 4/5 drama in traffic...... Do you know the harm this csuses, on the long run....... 1 Like |
