Episode Four

The mad man didn't come until the next week, he had grown thin and sickly. He had open sores on his arm and legs. Ralu was sitting with her friends when she saw him, she suddenly felt shivers, she couldn't stand and go forward like she had anticipated doing for the past few days after she spoke with Mr Kola and the next day would be Bible study.
The mad man walked around for a while and crossed to the other side of the road. Ralu stood and followed him, ignoring the call from her friends asking why she was following a mad man. He stopped beside a parked trailer and turned around facing her, Ralu held her breathe and opened her mouth to shout in fear as his expression turned angry and he looked as though he would pounce on her that moment but Mr Kola's words came to her and she screamed the words
'Be healed in Jesus name!'
The mad man froze, then started convulsing, Ralu knew if her faith didn't work she would be in serious trouble.
He fell on the floor and was still. Ralu was thinking he had died when he moved again, raising his head, he looked around, then at her.
His eyes narrowed but Ralu wasn't afraid of him anymore. He no longer had that look of a mad man.
'Who are you?' He said and there was an uproar behind her. Ralu turned and saw a huge crowd, some of them were pupils from her school and she saw two teachers as well. She hadn't known when they gathered.
'Where am I?' The mad man said, this time he was standing. And Ralu noticed the unbelievable, there were no sores on his body. Someone from the crowd shouted 'praise the Lord!!'
And they chorused 'hallelujah!'
Ralu felt like she was in a Mount Zion movie as her friends surrounded her, each trying to be the one closest to hugging her. One of the teachers she had seen dispersed them and told them all to go back to the school. Then Ralu turned to the mad man, behold, he was no longer there. She prayed that he would find his family. She then followed the teacher back to school. The school master did not cane her like she had expected, instead he just took a look at her and instructed her to her class. All the pupils in elementary six kept stealing glances at her even while lessons were going on.
