When the beta version of the OS is officially launched they will have their store and programmers will program Apps with the new operating system. Just like you have App Store and Google play store, you will have the new OS store and if your device supports the operating system you'll be downloading from that store. It won't crash then.

Why would one abandon their alternatives since they already are standing tall in a trade friendly ecosystem of over 1billion existing users. Before whatsapp, yahoo messenger was standing tall, then came BBM but whatsapp took over. telegram is locking horns with whatsapp but I tell you wechat and tercent qq would pull them down if the Chinese relaxes their current sign up process because they are not only user friendly with nice user interfaces but they are embedded with powerful tools that facilitate international trading and payments.
WhatsApp has about 1.5billion users worldwide whereas wechat has about 1billion even though it's still only in Asia. Why not do the arithmetic yourself and see that wechat has a potential of gaining more ground if it starts running by default in New phones.

Even if the OS is not up to expectations initially, give them 1 year, they will perfect it.
China has over 1 billion population,hence it is almost self sufficient, plus they hold a large control on Africa.

We all saw how Tecno started. If Huawei should succeed,Xiaomi , Tecno, Infinix, Itel and others will follow them to avoid similar sanctions. ulimately, I see US losing.

All is going to the consumer.

Like I mentioned, Brand, compatibility, trend, flexibility. This is what will get target consumers. Is Huawei going to push this forcefully through the air?

You will see a little of the future when Apple just launches its new Iphone. The sales in Asia will amaze you. The target is where the focus is.

Like you forgetting this is a trade war where everything counts. It wont take US companies anything to knock that OS off market.



This is just a Nigerian trend, I did remeber how they supported Innoson and making waves on how to patronise the auto maker. In reality, its all noise. The consumers are good at making noise, They will follow trend, compatibility, brand and flexibility.

Let the OS survive 5years and we can continue our discussion.

They are no fools. Having been a hardware giant and having used and customized Android for years, I'm sure they know how to better their game. Whatever they did to wriggle their way to become worlds second largest mobile phone maker shows that they know their onions.

You realize PlayStore has more than 2 million apps, is not just about the OS but the apps that works in this OS. Even if developers start to create apps for this new OS it will take another 5 to 10 yrs to get to 2 million apps.
Secondly there are some apps that depends on some special Google apps like Google maps.
Huawei needs to make alternative for all this apps as well.

HUAWEI didn't become worlds largest telecoms equipment maker and second largest phone maker within a very short period of time by being stupid.
