Job prospecting should be taught in secondary schools not as a 30 mins topic but as a subject from jss1 . sadly university brochures dont provide enough information courses just requirements to get in only to be hit with the reality after you graduate that the course you studied for years has little prospects or no prospect in the labor market. A large percentage of Nigerian graduates are not working with the certificate they studied for . And the biggest scam in tertiary education is second choice course. University give students courses that are basically worthless in the Nigerian labor market. I believe the goal of education is to bring out individuals that are not only worthy in character and in learning but individuals that are also able to function properly and make society better ,this is the reason why children should be armed with the information they need before making the ultimate decision to study a particular course.
