Assuming but not conceding that INEC did transmit the results by a server was it legal to do so? On what legal basis? The Constitution? Electoral Law? INEC Guidelines? If it was not legal, to what avail would it be to Atiku’s case? Zero! Atiku’s much touted server win results have no probative value! Ex turpi causa non oritur actio i.e. you cannot base an action on an illegal cause!

Before the presidential election, INEC assured political parties that it would use electronic transmission system with database and server to conduct the election.
The parties agreed, thus trusted INEC and entered the election based on INEC's assurance.

If INEC now says it has no servers, that means that INEC breached the trust which the political parties had on INEC, the trust which made the parties allowed INEC to be umpire for the election.

That alone is enough for a judge to nullify the presidential election.
Play the tapes where INEC assured political parties that it would use electronic transmission system with database connected to servers, that's all about breach of trust.

INEC now depends only on Pres Buhari's refusal to sign Electoral Law into force. That doesn't matter much. What matters most is INEC's assurances before the election, and INEC's breach of its assurances now.

This issue has lingered for too long. We nigerians know that our mandate was stolen. I just feel all these should just end. Looking at how all the processes of the election were conducted, it just goes on to show the pathetic state of our nation. I'm curious to know what this government will say by the end of their tenure cos we'll forgive their 1st 4years(as expected;always blaming d immediate past administration) but after that- WE WILL NOT TAKE IT. If only we could sit down as a reasonable nation, we would have gone far but the good news is that its NEVER too late. Peace!
