Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu was born on June 25, 1965 in Lagos State.
He Is 15th Governor Of Lagos State And Also The 6th Civilian Governor Of Lagos . He has an enviable background in the private sector with almost ten years experience in the banking sector . He was the deputy general manager and divisional head of First Inland Bank, Plc (now First City Monument Bank) and also worked as the head of foreign money market, UBA United Bank for Africa
Sanwo-Olu was the Managing Director of Lagos State Property Development Commission (LSPDC). Sanwo-Olu has a BSc and MBA in surveying from University Of Lagos. He attended the Kennedy school of Government, USA; the London business school as well as the Lagos business school (LBS).
He was appointed special adviser on corporate matters by the then Deputy governor, Femi Pedro in 2003. He was appointed commissioner for Commerce and Industry in 2007 during Bola Tinubu Era.
He also served as Babatunde Fashola’s commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pension between 2007 and 2015.
He is married to Dr C. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and their union is blessed with 4 children.
