Hi guys, I'm having this problem that has giving me sleepless nights. I conceive great ideas that has great prospects but right after I start working on them, the motivation and zeal to work on it just evaporates.

Once I hit a small hurdle I feel like its not worth it and I become lazy and soon the idea dies

How can I combat this? How do I keep myself motivated long enough to achieve my goals and objectives.

I'm hoping to get contribution from people who have been in my shoes. Thanks.

You keep the end in sight and slowly work towards it. You got to chose plausible ends though and carefully consider the work involved as there's no point saying "Let there be Light" if you haven't found a switch.
