If he is not fighting Ruiz next,Ruiz will as well find another opponent (parker,usyk,wilder are already squaring up) and if either of them beats him,then the belts has just traveled a lot farther away from AJ.
Its easier for AJ to get a chance to fight Ruiz(as a rematch is already part of the contract) in other to get back his belts than to let the belts leave Ruiz to another guy,that may not want to fight Aj

i dont think that is good, the best thing is to get a rematch and try to get the belts back fast and as soon as possible, if he decides to fight other people, then definitely rusiz too will fight other fighter , if ruiz loses the belt then getting the belts back will be a huge task , remember the rematch is only good when and if rusiz still has the belts , there are many many contenders that are mandatory and in line and that can beat ruiz hands down .
