Then please come & sort us out, Hannibal grin

South Africans are the only people in the history of colonialism in Africa that fought the longest. Read & do your research before speaking on a subject you know nothing about. Cowards we're not. You can't even organise an uprising against the barefoot Fulani herdsmen & Buhari, but think you can take on South Africans? Haaaaa! Colonizers spent more on gunfire, in South Africa, than anywhere else on the continent because we're not spineless pussies. We fight back whatever it takes. If you don't believe me, come try am grin

Go and sit down, nonsense,
U fought the longest because you were the most subservient, it is y'all nature. Even after that fake independence they gave you, you are still slaves in your own country.
Nigeria has flaws, but we are not slaves to anybody in our own country.
You hate us, but all your nonsense products, is it not in Nigeria you sell them? You know why? Cause we have purchasing power and the population, what we lack is sound leadership,......

We love, we don't hate, but you guys started this, so go and cry me a river...

Nonsense!!!!!

Of course they did, but it was not like taking candy from a baby. They had to go to battle over many years 1st.

Then you know nothing!

LMAO. Why were they halted then Mr-Know-it-all? Pray tell. On more than one occasion, an agreement had to be reached with the Xhosa because they retaliated every loss they had incurred in previous wars. A total of 9 wars. You Morpheus are clueless.

Their retaliation did not amount to anything greater than cattle theft and raiding and this was frustrating to the settlers and the colonial office as well were it was necessary to settle with the chiefs on territory that would be deemed native reservations.

It was really not in the British interest to eliminate an entire peoples. It was in their interest to subdue them and control the surrounding areas

Looool. So why do we have so many forts & mass graves in the Eastern Cape? In fact, we have the most ports in the rest of Africa because most battles were fought here, in Xhosaland. Try again.

You have those forts because port cities tend to centralize their weaponry in this area to protect from external aggression from the sea and as a means of resupplying fighters that go inland not because the Xhosa were so overwhelming as to force the British to create many of them. SMH!

I read and the answer still remains the same.

"You have those forts because port cities tend to centralize their weaponry in this area to protect from external aggression from the sea and as a means of resupplying fighters that go inland not because the Xhosa were so overwhelming as to force the British to create many of them."

Again what fighting technics were so different from say the "Ashante wars" or "THe Dahomey wars" that stand out as some heroism that is so profilic it differentiates you from other colonial wars in Africa?

This was your initial assertion right, that you have some sort of bravery gene that is absent from other areas in Africa, no?

@bolded, that's what Morpheus says, but historians (& history itself) state otherwise. I'll take their educated & informed word over yours any day.

I don't care about other people's wars, I'm discussing our own, THE LONGEST IN AFRICA & also the only one that needed more resources/manpower to conquer a people, as the article reads. Period.

1. What differentiates the perspective presented by the "historian" you choose to adhere to if he is using the same information that I employ?. Subjective don't you think?

2. You should care about other wars in Africa so you don't make assertions that are based on limited knowledge or dear I say ethnocentrism.

3. You "choose" to ignore my historicity not because it is not based on knowledge or fact but on account that it does not move your narrative forward and renders handicap your initial assertion about possessing some superior spirit of resistance against aggressors as compared to your African counterparts when really its just spin on narratives you choose to accept.

Let's create awareness across all social media please... All these insults is very annoying

LOL, same old noise .

By Ahmed Tahir Ajobe
Minna — The immediate past Nigeria Ambassador to South Africa, Ahmed Ibeto has disclosed that the recurring incidences of murder involving Nigerians were being carried out by Nigerians themselves contrary to claims of xenophobic attacks.

In an interactive session with journalists shortly after the presentation a letter of intention to vie for the governorship of Niger state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday in Minna, Ibeto said from the statistics of killings and their remote and immediate causes available to the Nigeria Embassy, most of the incidences were as a result of conflict between Nigerians.

"I can authoritatively tell you from the evidences we have that out of four of such killings involving Nigerians, three are by Nigerians themselves as a result of rivalry, shady deals, cultism and drugs," he said.

He said in most cases, the conflict is as a result of territorial control between drug barons which often results in deaths and destructions, even as he disclosed that barons also kill their aides and workers who betray them in the cause of business.

He explained that he has on many occasions submitted detailed reports on such crises to the federal government, who promptly collaborate with South Africa authority to stem the tide.

He however said there were few exception where South Africans attack and even murder Nigerians

Bro, I lived in South Africa for almost four years. I can also authoritatively tell you one or two things about that country.

No, I really don't care. The fact remains, it took more to conquer South Africans. Finish & klaar.

1. Can you blame me? You seem to have your own interpretation of our history, other than the one that is well-known & retold in publications by independent sources with no axe to grind. So yeah, I think I'll lean more to what I know & my own research. I have some knowledge of South African history too.

2. Again, that's your own interpretation, which I care zero about because I never said fighting abilities were non-existent. I never made any comparisons. I simply said ours was the longest due to factors stated in my previous posts & that is an undiluted FACT whether you like it or not. South Africans were tough opponents that gave colonizers the longest standoffs in history of colonialism in Africa. Fullstop.

As I said your spin on history. I can easily do the same by de-emphasizing how your "100 year war" was simply a bunch of periodic skermishes that occurred between settlers, Clans and the Colonial office over that period of time and completely invalidate your so called "Long time to subdue us narrative" but hey my opinion.

Nigerians are actually travellers, explorers, name it, by nature, and are always ready to kick off to anywhere opportunity thrives. Not sit-at-homes like black S.Africans. We will keep coming and you wont be able to shut your door on us, cos we contribute to your local economy. The victim here could have met his death from wherever, but, you have a problem, and that is xenophobia. Deal with it.
