Land is being taken from people or somewhere and being transferred to people who ORIGINALLY are not Nigerians.

Land is vested in the State according to the Constitution for it to be held in trust and development of the people.

The government, State or Federal, has the absolute right to take and give land. But it must clear the air on who it is giving it to.
The purpose also is critical. Is it a commercial interest. Will cows reared RUGA styled come at a discount or its same market price after you offset largest cost factor in a business for someone?

Fertilizer was subsidized and free in some places. Can these RUGA beef prices be subsidized?

you are confusing the two... Fulanis are in the south in many parastatals, business and government agency same as southerners in the north.... the issue is about the herdsmen not Fulani...no one is putting an embargo on migration, whether na Hausa man to south or igbo man to the north.. The issue is on Fulani herdsmen, a form of profession not fulanis as a tribe

They are Nigerians... Fulanis cut across many countries... There are fulanis in far away Senegal to the fringes of Sudan... So many countries do have their indigenous Fulani population in Africa. The issue is the Fulani herdsmen knows no border, he moves to survive. A Fulani herdsman coming from Mali can be accommodated by a fellow herdsman in Nigeria, that's one of the problem is.... He is talking about his State (Kano State), I don't see why southern States should be bothered. If its successful in Kano and any other Northern State that may wish to implement it, I think it will be very good for Nigeria as a Country.

I don’t think you guys got the manipulation in his statement. He said Herdsmen should not be moving cattle from North to South, but he did not say that herdsmen should not rear cattle’s in the south. He ended the statement with the need to build Ruga - this by implication and summary is; he wants government to seize lands in all 36 states to build Ruga for his people, and he suggested that cows will not be roaming between the regions.
