See your head,if you don't like herdsmen in the South East why are there so many southerners in the north?
For your information there are more Igbo people in the north than Fulani or Hausa people in the South East. Check the facts before you open your smelly mouth.
Fact checked and aknowledged. But igbos living in the north are peaceful. No record of any extra judicial killing while herders across southern states have posed threats to the people making them breath outside there ribcage with there gory actions. Infact, fulanis are murderers. We dont need them here in the east. They should go with there cow. We still bush meats that are healthier than cows when consumed. Nonesense and fulani

Ranching the cows is business, ranching itself is big business... you dont see other business men marauding forests in the north with guns and calling it business.
Note the word 'peacefully' bro.
Every man has a tendency of committing crime depending on the tendency. Even church workers comiits rape and adultery; govt officials embezzles, spare parts dealers close and go robbing in the night, we have heard alot and we have them alot in our society.
Drop that your bias thinking and lets all think of how to bring those poor, unfortunate and innocent children from the wilderness, they were born just like the way u and i were born.

look at his lines......."to make them full Nigerians....." why are they bent on making non-Nigerians full Nigerians? So, I don't think it's about cattle alone. it is about land grabbing and extending the coast of a particular ethnic group, an agenda that if not buried will redefine this project called Nigeria. those behind the sinister motives should better listen to people's reaction and take some steps backward now that the situation is still manageable. But I also know that they won't listen to anything like what Ganduje has said because the agenda is deeper than mere cattle rearing.

yes thats true but doing their business without violence or killing innocent people.

If only they go about their business in the east without violence and killings, Igbos wont have issues with them.

Also remember there are larger land mass in the North compare to south and east so there is enough land for them in the north.

They are Nigerians... Fulanis cut across many countries... There are fulanis in far away Senegal to the fringes of Sudan... So many countries do have their indigenous Fulani population in Africa. The issue is the Fulani herdsmen knows no border, he moves to survive. A Fulani herdsman coming from Mali can be accommodated by a fellow herdsman in Nigeria, that's one of the problem is.... The herdsman are the nomadic ones that still hold to their traditional values

If they are Nigerians, why do they need to be made Nigerians again?

It's known that these Fulanis are not Nigerians.

I agree with Ganduje. This man is a true Nigerian. Remember during the Kaduna Declaration drama this man was the first of Northern Governors to break silence and say Ibos in Kano are residents with rights and must not be expelled. Unfortunately Ibos ridicule and spin hatred against him online.

Now he is advocating ranching and ruga settlement in North.

Give it to Ganduje!

If IGBOS leave Kano, Kano will become a waste land.

That's why .

From the two (2) bolded part of his statement.

Land is being taken from people or somewhere and being transferred to people who ORIGINALLY are not Nigerians.

Land is vested in the State according to the Constitution for it to be held in trust and development of the people.

The government, State or Federal, has the absolute right to take and give land. But it must clear the air on who it is giving it to.
The purpose also is critical. Is it a commercial interest. Will cows reared RUGA styled come at a discount or its same market price after you offset largest cost factor in a business for someone?

Fertilizer was subsidized and free in some places. Can these RUGA beef prices be subsidized?

These are the issues causing the fighting up and down.

""The government, State or Federal, has the absolute right to take and give land.""

No, the federal government has no right to take land and give land anywhere in Nigeria.

explain yourself... Are you saying before 1960 they were no fulanis in the region which Nigeria exist now.... Fulani is a large ethnic group that cut across more than 15 countries in Africa. So when nations were divided by the colonial masters the Fulani man in Senegal became a Senegalese, a Fulani man in Niger became a Nigerien, same as Mali, Burkina Faso, central Africa republic, Nigeria etc... That's why you might see someone from Nigeria indigene to borno but has relatives in Chad which is just a stone throw.....borders are actually just demarcations

Do some of you really want peace at all? I will continue to be saying it, most of you ranting online on this issue are not interested in finding a lasting solution to the problem, you just enjoy the tension, the heat. The man made his point and intention simple and clear but you're reading another meaning into it. What do you guys want exactly?

“The Federal Government should abolish the movement of herdsmen from the Northern part to the Southern part of Nigeria because that creates a lot of problems and the only way to do it is the RUGA issue.

“This settlement is a must and to us in Kano state, it’s a task that must be done, because we must improve the quality of lives of the herdsmen so that they become full Nigerians and behave like any other good Nigerian, so that the conflict we are having all over the country can be reduced and at the same time, they can improve the way they breed their cattle.”

RUGA is unconstitutional and should be opposed by well meaning Nigerians. Private ranching is the only way. The FG should not be allowed to settle foreign Fulanis anywhere in Nigeria. We have an immigration law that should not be bypassed.

are you saying they don't have homes apart from wilderness?

They almost don't have. They live 80% of their lives in the wilderness.
But the truth is they were born just like u or me, they were just unfortunate to be delivered into wrong hands...bad parenting, ignorance, illiteracy, quite unfortunate.
Worst still, the owners of those cows they roam after are billionaires/millionaires but they don't care. Their own children either school in abroad or are busy squandering the Ill gotten money in Nigerian clubs.
The unfortunate innocent kids roam around the wilderness without anybody caring for them. Should we consider that as their own fate and forget about them?
They look tattered, they stink, they look alien, tgey beg for money (N50 is their highest expected bill), they don't know anything about hope, they are more of animal natured than human but still they were born like u n I. They understand COW language better than any foreign language to them, the reason they take revenge when anything happens to their best FRIENDS. Nobody cares. Almajiris lifestyle is 100% better than theirs. Their masters don't want them to know that life is good out here, at least better than living with snakes and battling with scorpion bites everyday of their lives. Should we leave them to this sad fate or we do something in our own capacity? If we do, Mother Nature will bless us and if we ignore, we will continue to live with the terror that follows the abandonment.
The riches are taking advantage of their unfortunate innocence, govt is trying to fix the problem in their own low capacity, myopic victims (Nigerians) are wailing.
Is it not better to bring those kids out of the Bush and tell them that kids don't follow animals in the bush for a living in America?
RUGA, either favorable to any region or not, if it can bring those kids out of Bush and offer them a good life, there would be no herdsmen in the bush those wicked people will share guns to, for killing. Think about it.

See this lunatic, who are u trying to FooOOOool, Stop mentioning 1960, various ethnic groups have been existing here as a nation for thousands of years, long before the white man came. And before then there was no Fulani in this geographical.

Fulani are not Nigerians, if they are Nigerians, show me one state where they dominate in numbers just like IGBOS dominate the whole of enugu state.

Fulani homeland is in the mountains of Futon Jalon, pure n simple.
