Volkswagen is not for faint hearted.
Wouldn't ever advise anyone to buy it as a first car.
It's not Kazeem friendly. Regardless of what anyone tells you, 99.5% of our mechanics are Kazeems.
The tools to diagnose, install and update modern (05 and above) Volkswagens are not readily available in Nigeria.
They are not inherently bad cars buy we do not have the expertise and resources to fix them and there lies the problem..
I wish op the best sha but it's going to be a long road to recovery. I hope it doesn't end with the car having a carburetor engine or being butchered in owode

I lost my "running board" to flood. Went to Ikoku to buy a replacement walked the length and breadth of the market and couldn't find it. What I kept hearing was, Oga, no worry, we go work am. I wouldn't have any of that.

I called my contacts in Lagos and it took one week before the replacement was seen and delivered.

Its all fun driving a unique vehicle and turning heads till you have a part to replace and all you hear is, Oga, this one too go work, we go work am or you contact that other Oga and he says vehicle not supported in my workshop

short story, after 4months of smooth cruising.... the ride spent 2 days out of every week with the mechanic till it was totalled when brake failed and my bro left the ride like that ..... @ mechanic village, old nekede... till date!

Some of us learn by experience. Believe there is solution to every problem. Someone somewhere should have an average knowledge of Passage parasitic drain. Gazzuzz may too even though it's an unsupported brand. That's why this is cartalk, to assist each other as Nigerians. What do a 'local'man know!

it's not a bad ride @ all but the expertise is not so common....

oluwaseunla can do something for this guy though.....

but being serious all the time is a Lil to extreme.......

good evening, pls people I need help. I bought this VOLKSWAGEN passat 2006 model for my wife, and ever since then the happiness I was looking for totally vanished. electrical faults here and there...the latest 1 now is that the car is discharging every battery that enters it. including a new battery that I bought last week. I have gone to VOLKSWAGEN market several times under 3weeks that I bought the car. please people I need help urgently.... thanks. I have also spent 180,000 that I dnt have, and yet the car is still killing me......
