If one of the apps on your Android device crash as soon as you launch it or maybe while you are using it, you can quickly fix this problem, with basic troubleshooting. This tutorial will show you three possible methods which you can apply on your Android device to repair the app and make it work without problems.

To get started follow steps below:

SOLUTION 1: RESTART YOUR DEVICE

If the app crashes while you are using it, the first thing you should try is to pull out the battery from your Android device. This will perform a soft reset, and it will not erase the data from your device, but it can sometimes resolve the issues such as crushed apps. Once you pull the battery, return it back after 2-3 minutes and try the app.
If the battery is irremovable, simply turn the phone off and then on.

SOLUTION 2: UPDATE THE APP

Make sure you check the Google Play store for latest updates for your app. To do that:

Step1: Launch the Google Play app from your Android device and then tap on Menu

Step 2: From the menu choose My Apps

Step 3: In here you will see the list of all apps that needs to be updated. Tap on Update and wait until the update process is finished.

SOLUTION 3: CLEAR THE CACHE

Cache is the stored data that caters you later when the same type of request is processed. It can be the result of your previous requests, browsing or any other computation done on your device.

When you use your favorite apps frequently, device collects the heaps of data that occupy unnecessary space and slows down the processor. When your app doesn’t get enough room or resources to launch, it crashes or freezes.

To get the application its required space, you need to
clear the caches on your Android. Follow the below steps
and do it by yourself:

Step 1: Launch ‘Settings’

Step 2: Tap on Apps (App Manager, Manage apps, depending on your device)

Step 3: Find the app you’re having trouble with and tap on it.

Step 4: Tap the button Clear cache.

Step 5: Make it to ‘Force stop’

Step 6: Relaunch the application.

SOLUTION 4: CLEAR APP DATA

If cleaning the cache doesn’t help with your app crashing on Android, you can consider to clear the complete data of the app. However, it is going to impact your personal settings and configuration of the app, leading to reset.

Once data is cleared, you’re going to start all over again from the beginning. If you clear the data for Facebook, you’re going to enter your username and password again. Similarly, if you do this to any of your game you’ve been playing, you’re going to lose all the settings, high-scores and other data.

To clear the data of any app, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Go to Settings

Step 2: Tap on Apps

Step 3: Next, tap on the app that is misbehaving

Step 4: Tap Clear data and then tap Force stop.

SOLUTION 5: REINSTALL THE APP

If none of above solution worked for you, make sure yo uninstall the crashed app from your device. To do that:

Step 1: From your home screen tap on Menu button and then choose Settings.

Step 2: Tap Applications.

Step 3: This is where you will see a full list of all available apps inside your Android device.
