Buhari on Tuesday submitted the list to the National Assembly on Tuesday after five months of winning the 2019 elections.

1. Ambode

A former Lagos leader, Ambode’s failure to get a second term prompted many to tip him for compensation.




During the election campaigns, he was with Buhari touring the country and many saw him as one of the “Abuja boys” who’d easily make the list of ministers.

2. Solomon Dalung

From Plateau State, Dalung was the Sports and Youths Minister and had on several occasions boasted that he will return during Buhari’s last term in office.

3. Ibe Kachikwu

The Delta-born oil baron was seen as one of the shining lights in Buhari’s first term in office but was, however, ignored by the Nigerian leader in the “next level”  list.

Instead, a human rights lawyer and member of the Buhari Campaign team Festus Keyamo was given the nod from the Niger Delta state.

He was the Minister of Petroleum (State) as Buhari started his first term.

4. Audu Ogbeh

He’s long been in Nigeria’s political arena and was once the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In Buhari’s first stint, he was Minister of Agriculture and Rural Resources but could not make it this second term.

5. Mansur Dan Ali

With Nigeria facing security battles, Buhari have decided to drop Dan Ali as Defence Minister.

Nigeria’s are eager to know who’ll finally take over from the Zamfara-born politician in the “Next Level” cabinet.
