Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Sibusiso Busi Moyo was, on Friday, attacked by protesters at Chatham House in the UK.

The country’s Information Permanent Secretary, Ndabaningi Nick Mangwana and his aides were also attacked.

A video shared on Twitter by Hopewell Chin’ono, @daddyhope, wrote: "I am saddened by these visuals from London where the Foreign Minister S.B. Moyo & the Information Permanent Secretary Nick Mangwana were attacked by angry Zimbabweans.

This is a sign of a deeply polarized nation which requires a visionary leadership to get it out of this ditch."

In the video revealed one of the protesters were seen pouring water on the minister, as he walked towards his car.

Some of the protesters, who were draped in the Zimbabwean flag surged towards the minister, as he came out but his aides protected him until he got into his car.

The protesters, however, turned on a man and asked him, “What are you looking at?” Some of the female protesters pushed and shoved him on the street.

Chatham House on its events Twitter handle, @CH_Events, acknowledged that Minister Moyo was at the establishment to “discuss Zimbabwe’s prospects for international engagement two years after leadership change.”

They added, “The country is also strengthening its ties in Asia, especially with China and Japan. Zimbabwe’s partnerships are demonstrating a growing global awareness of Africa’s economic potential and attracting inward FDI.”

Zimbabwe has been facing tough economic challenges in recent times.

This is how all Nigerians in the diaspora should treat government officials who have failed us whenever they show up in a foreign country. Protesting is a civic duty of all citizens.

Nigerians will never grow balls to do this either home or away. Rather, some of those people in diaspora will be debunking the news of the terrible things that are happening in Nigeria and will be welcoming the corrupt officials with flags, banners and flowers.

We are to divided along several lines to be united enough to question our leaders and hold them accountable for the present state of the country.

Try this in Nigeria, and that place will automatically become a firing squad zone with protesters being used as free target practice.

African leaders are evil, they're corrupt without remorse.

Things like this can't happen to nigerian politicians because, their masses are either suffering from mental slavery or keyboard warriors only, who are too scared to even get close to reality.

Talk is cheap, not until we become real agents of change, things would rather deteriorate than improve...

Hummmmmm, to those comparing the protest in UK against their PM to that of an African country, this is the reason why an African police will use force on protesters. Our police is a typical reflection of our society. I don't see any reason to attack the man
