A nation's national anthem is a clarion call to her citizens to live and protect the sovereignty of the nation.
For over 40 years only the first stanza of the National anthem is being recited at public events with no reference made to the second stanza. Sadly, going by our growth and development chart as a nation, the Arise, O compatriots seems to have lost the comradeship spirit amongst us Nigerians, hence my call for the replacement of the first stanza with the second stanza in public events across the country.

Maybe, just maybe it may revive the spirit of unity and purpose amongst the youths and future generations of Nigeria
