Ryan Shawcross suffered a horrific and serious ankle break in Stoke’s pre-season friendly with Leicester.

Moments before half-time, Ryan Shawcross, the central defender's left ankle appeared to get caught in the turf and bend backwards as he reached to clear the ball ahead of Leicester midfielder Marc Albrighton.

The game was immediately stopped as the Ryan Shawcross laid on the turf in severe pain after the serious ankle injury as players from both sides rushed to his aid.

Shawcross had to be given oxygen by medics while they treated him and it took them eight minutes before he was led away on the stretcher.

He was reportedly taken into an ambulance to go straight to hospital as it is thought he was suffered an ankle break.

Remember that year he almost destroyed Aaron Ramsey's career with a horror tackle with two bones broken.
Ramsey was out of action for almost two years although he later apologised and he was also in tears while leaving the pitch.
Is this Karma? Nah, I don't believe in that but he will probably remember that incidence and understand what it really feels like to be out of action for such a considerable long period of time.
