I think religion teaches people to stop questioning, just like Galileo said the purpose of science is to determine how the heavens go, while the purpose of religion is to determine how to go to heaven. For you to have an answer to your question, you need to understand that the universe is really reall big. We talking light years across. Take for instance the Sun. The sun is around 150 million kilometers away from earth. You see sunlight? It takes around 8minutes for sunlight from the sun to reach us. Let’s say the sun exploded now, you won’t actually know it until after 8 minutes. So it’s really difficult to scan the sky. That’s the reason why they say looking up in the night sky it’s just like you looking back in time. Here is something fascinating, the nearest galaxy to us “The Andromeda Galaxy” is around 2 million light year away from us. This actually means when you look up in the sky and see the galaxy, you are literally looking at the galaxy at it was 2 million years ago. My point is, objects in spaces are really really far. And don’t forget, for we to actually see this objects it needs to reflect sunlight

@bolded is a fact, that's why we were cultured right from birth or maybe earlier to grow our brains by using it for everything.
