Agreed, but past administrators that refused to work and stashed Edo money away, what did the people do to them? Was any jailed, killed or stoned?

grin

They stole, they were arrested, went for plea bargain and were set free after paying 3million naira.

Fake

Obaseki has not construct any project in Edo State

He is a smooth criminal, the pictures here are the infrastructure we had before.

A pained political propagandist is easy to spot.
How much did your smooth criminal comrade pay you? Hopefully enough for your conscience.

Lol

We should start acting like the eldest son of Africa.

Whats impressive about a governor reconstructing a government's property?

grin
We are not the eldest in Africa not even in our wildest of imagination

The likes of Ethiopia, Eygpt and Ghana were already playing nations cup, while we were still struggling for our independence.

Ok, instead of motivating the Edo governor to continue his good performance, you are showing him the handshake of indifference. Go to states like Kogi and Niger state, where nothing is being done and tell me what you want their citizens to say.

So you choose mediocrity as a benchmark over excellence.

Poverty is indeed a brain damaging curse.
You need to realise that as a citizen of a wealthy country like Nigeria, you're entitled to a much better life than you're getting now. There are countries where lawmakers use public transport. Let that sink into your head

As much as this is impressive, let's stop making it look like a governor is doing his people a favor. It's mediocre, to me

Which one is "Obaseki is working"?

Who was supposed to reconstruct it before? The people?

He simply did what he was voted in for. He was supposed to work.
So what should he do to be applauded? Am just curious and i understand your point

In what way has mediocrity been chosen over excellence? shocked Are you equating Obaseki with mediocrity? Why do people like you have such a pedestrian mentality? If a person does what he is expected to do, what is wrong with commending him? shocked

When footballers who have been paid huge sums to play for their clubs, end up scoring a goal, don't you applaud them? Or do you ignore them and say "Oh, they are expected to score goals anyway?" undecided

When a singer gives a performance on stage, don't you applaud him or her? Or do you remain indifferent by saying, after all he or she is expected to sing?

See, even in the business world, hard working employees who meet their deliverables are commended and appreciated.

Lack of appreciation kills motivation, and lack of motivation hinders performance. sad

The only project obaseki did here was to snap the building with drone

Yes, Obaseki is making an impressive run with infrastructure in Edo State.

I was born in Benin, and I've lived there for close to three decades. I've also lived in Lagos, and presently in Port Harcourt.

So I know what Benin was like these past years, and I know first-hand the job he's been doing.

I posted drone images of the Government Buildings and the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium. Beyond these, he is building inner roads everywhere, and to me, it is impressive.

It's impressive because this was lacking. We elected him to do so, and he is doing it.

Everywhere in the world, the people commend their leaders when they do good. So you don't have to be unnecessarily woke about it.

From Ugbowo where I attended the University, to Upper Sakponba where my father's house to, to Eyaen where I live(d), to Oredo where most businesses are headquartered, Obaseki's projects are visible.

I appreciate that.

I know what this city used to be like.

Thank you.

You are paid internet propagandist

Obaseki is the worst governor we ever had

Look at how someone is masturbating over Secretariat, hospital, and a stadium. Are they being built with personal money? Why else do people pay tax? It's like clapping for a dog because it barked. Isn't that its duty?

A governor is doing what he was voted for to do and I don't know why I should be praise him?

People hired him via vote and he must deliver simple as that.

They go as far as using billboards for their praise singing for what is their right grin grin grin grin cheesy grin

Kudos to Obaseki. The secretariat was left to rot away since 1979. And Palm House was left dilapidated after being gutted by fire in the 90s

Obaseki is a good Governor that has the interest of his people at heart. His only problem is refusing to share Edo money indiscriminately hence he is now a traitor. He should just focus and achieve his good plans.

The question should be "If the people had a chance to do all these, will they do it? "

If Igbenedion walked into a public gathering, will they question him? Or will they cheer him up?

I can't say a security man was impressive for opening a gate
I can't say a cashier was impressive for lodging my cash
I can't say a driver was impressive for driving from point A to point B.

The problem with Nigeria is the people. Tomorrow, when he seeks reelection, he will list the "Reconstruction of a government building" as an achievement..... As if he did the government and his people a favor

God go bless you my brother...
Foolishness and a stupid sense of inferiority complex is what is troubling Nigerians.

How on earth will Nigerians be applauding someone for doing what he agreed to do and is being paid for...

No problem, leave them let them

I share your thought too. I served there in 2001 under Igbinedion. I went there under Oshiomhole and also I went there recently and couldn’t believe my eyes. Oshiomhole tried a lot and Obaseki is doing wonders. So happy for Edo people.

I am a doctor. I am paid to treat patients. Yet, I get commendation from patients when I do so.

Yes, they get impressed by my services, thesame way they can be disappointed.

They won't say because they pay for the services, and I am statutorily required to do so, that they won't commend me if I provide them with solutions.

It's quite simple. Nothing to be woke about.
