Omoyele Sowore the founder of the African Action Congress(AAC) has called for a nationwide protest in Nigeria and abroad that will commence on the 5th of august 2019. All Nigerians are advised to hit the streets, and protest the inhumane conditions Nigerians are being subjected to at the hands of the political elite. What exactly is he protesting ? I understand Nigeria needs change but he has to be more focused in actions. Is he protesting Electoral Fraud, lack of Federalism in Nigeria, SW Betrayal in electing Buhari, Fraud, Crime, Islamisation and Fulanisation, Leah Sharibu's imprisonment, proscribement of IPOB, IMN and /or Homosexuality in Nigeria; Lack of Political Reconstruction etc. What is he actually protesting.

If you look at the civil rights struggle in America, it was built in a series of individual themes. Selma, Bus Boycott, Abolition of Poll tax and Jim Crow Era Laws, Abolition of Segregation in Schools, in Housing, In Public Faciltities etc. I feel Sowore has to be more focused, pick one battle fight it and win and move on to the next one. He can identify areas of change and build a coalition to among stakeholders to make that change until the government see itself feeling pressure on all fronts , decides it is losing and has to make the change for a better Nigeria.
