There's no contradiction anywhere, but rather you have refused to understand what transpired.

The woman was the first to escape earlier in the morning. Hence, she might have escaped when their kidnappers, who were allegedly Fulani were sleeping. She must have been spotted by the helicopter used by the Nigerian Police for surveillance and rescued.

The others were then rescued when the surveillance helicopter was able to pinpoint the kidnappers during the day, when the kidnappers were trying to get their remaining victims into another location. Apparently, the kidnappers were scared and disoriented when they spotted an helicopter hovering directly above them and ran for their lives.

This shows that the kidnappers are more afraid of being caught than collecting ransoms.

The kidnappers might be highly connected or their arrest might reveal alot of secret to the Nigerian populace.

Read between the lines they were rescued at different times with same set of kidnappers called herdsmen. The account of police at the initial press conference stated the woman was recused first then the others were rescued later at a different area of the forest.

The woman collaborated the police account while the police persistent of hovering over the forest area made the kidnappers abandon the other sets.

Also, only one of the victims was an RCCG pastor not 5 as you have portrayed.
