By the way, what is nnamdi the hero and warrior of the east doing in America? He should come and display his bravery where it is needed not tweeting from a comfy zone. Sowore took the fight to the oppresor and thats what real warriors are known for.

When we were kids we learnt how to throw tantrums and completely reject something because it wasn’t exactly what we wanted or how we wanted it. As adults we have learnt that throwing away the baby with the bath water isn’t wise. Greeting an armed robber ‘good morning sir’ doesn’t make you a coward or foolish, as long as you escape with your life. The story of Solomon and harlots who contended for a child comes to mind. The other woman wanted the baby to be split because her own baby was dead, but the rightful mom wanted the baby to live even if it meant losing the child temporarily.
If you like Naija and want to be able to travel on the highway without being shot at or kidnapped, then please suspend all your differences with various tribes or various political opponents. The problem with Naija now is more than your quest for revenge, people are dying, there’s hunger in the country. Let us change the dangerous trend first, make the government to either tackle this insecurity or let competent people come in and do so. After that, then we can worry about Igbo and Hausa and Yoruba and all your ‘enemies’.
Being a refugee in Benin Republic or Ghana or Cameroon wouldn’t be easy o, they wouldn’t accommodate Nigerians in their numbers.

At least Sowore helped all of us to find out that revolution will never happen in Nigeria, not in the real sense of it. So let us move to plan B, which is even better, whatever it is to every region within Nigeria.

The Nigerian Presidency has praised Nigerians for ‘Ignoring’ the #RevolutionNow protests Organized by Sahara Reporters Founder, Omoyele Sowore, who is currently being detained by the Department of State Security Services, DSS.

Below is a statement signed by Presidential media aide, Garba Shehu, sent to POLITICS NIGERIA;

“Today, millions of Nigerians went about their businesses: work, seeking employment, attending schools/colleges and caring for their families. By doing so, the millions defended our country’s hard-won democratic rights – by ignoring calls on social media to join a phantom ‘revolution’.”

“There were a few hundred persons today who, for their own reasons, decided to act upon the demands of a group calling itself Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria, which went on social media to ask everyday Nigerians to overthrow the government they only elected some six months ago.

“The President is humbled by the support – not for himself, or the governing party – but for the democratic values of modern-day Nigeria through the wisdom of those millions of citizens who preferred democracy and decided not to undermine an elected government.

“Today, joining those millions of Nigerians was not only the President and governing party at Federal level, but many state governments from the opposition, trade unions, civil society organisations, media and NGOs with focus on freedom of speech. All have, rightly, united in protecting Nigeria’s young democracy and the rights of all to elect leaders and lawmakers.

“The Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria’s attempt to incite citizens into a revolution against their own democratic rights and interests has failed – as will all attempts to take away from the people their hard-won rights and freedom to choose who leads their country.’’

https://politicsnigeria.com/presidency-hails-nigerians-for-ignoring-sowores-revolutionnow-protests/

I said it some weeks ago that Nigerian can't protest against the government because we are 4 nation's in one, when a revolution start from south East, the south west and south south and the less cannot care because they believe that what the East is protesting for is not their concern, when a revolutionist is from west they will team it western revolution, and if is from North the entire north will support it indirectly as they support Boko-Harm and the less. we as a Nigerian have a long way to go. only the north have right to protest in Nigeria because the government is for them that's why Zaklzaky is free today, has it be that he is from another tribe?. the south are not united and 85% security men is from North. the government is of the north and for the north. when south want to do protest they have to be well equipped by providing foods for the protesters, they will be ready to face the security in all means from the second day. the successful revolutions we saw in other country were well equipped, you don't expect protesters to go hungry at end of the day, you don't expect people to die in vain when the government your protesting against attack you. yes is police duty to put fear into protesters to stop them and is also revolutionist duty to fight back to tell government that they are tired the way they live and are ready to die or the government meet their demand. if government can't meet their demand it mean the government have to resign in peace or by force if the force from the revolution is too hot for the government. Revolution somehow mean self volunteer for war against over due to retire or resign unproductive government and this government cannot fold hands allow citizen they term ordinary to take power from them. therefore if this revolution is well equipped. the revolutionist have to change the tone to another level from tomorrow.

BBC and other international news agency are forbidden from covering the news but they were allow to cover every protest that leads by the northerners. the protesters should not run away because police chase them in today. tomorrow they have to be equipped with everything withing their power to fight back until government meet their needs. all this country Sudan, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and all that have force the government to meet their demands pass through what the protesters is passing today in Nigeria but they did not stop until government meet their demand. when government need fire you give them fire and when they need peace you give them peace. oh Nigerians the supporters of good will come out in mass to fight this evil. the government have one option. meet people demand or resign or give protesters independent.

the south should stop dividing and come together to get what they want through this protest, if they fail the Fulani's will take over south from now on. the north is trying their best to use the south to divide south and they are succeeding. every southerner is tired of fulani's activities' is this how we will chase the Fulani's out. if we can's come together to fight the Fulani's through this revolution is it by individually we can fight?. there's power in unity than individually, our enemy is not single but united i beg all southerners to join this protest and let the sponsor of the revolution equip the protesters with all we need to protect and feed our self. if the Zakyzaky members didn't kill police this government will have not make any move to free him. If the revolutionist did not start killing whom ever government send to stop ours this government will never believed that their government polices is not good to the south, they will never believe the security system is not good to the south, they will never believe that their polices is cause of poverty in the south which leads our youth to lay hand in fraud which leads them in jail. how long can youth of the south stop going to jail because of poverty?. how long can young women of south stop going into prostitution because of poverty?. how long can we stop dieing in our land because of insecurity?, how long can fail education system stop?, how long can fail hospital system stop?, how long can cut of mark stop?. how long can Fulani's men stop this their new system of kidnapping of travelers on southern roads stop?. how long can our farmers stop dieing in their farm in hands of the Fulani's men?. how long do we the south think that this government can make a move to stop all this evil whereby they are the one that introduces it and they are the one the situation favors?.

If the south fail to use this opportunity to do revolution it may not be possible for them again, it will be like them as the day when Igbo's see that this marriage cannot work and others tribe see it that Igbo's are Nigerian problem but after 50 years they now see what Igbo's saw. later Nnamdi Kanu comes in but we don't believe him when he started crying in 2014 that he saw Fulanisation and Buhari brutality but Nigerians chase him away. An today the entire south have another opportunity to free them self and we take it as Yoruba man revolution. time is coming when we will seek for all this hero's and we can't find them no more Ojukwu is not here today, and we need people like him. but north still producing our pains day by day and we keep enduring to our grave, is this how our life is going to remain as a southerners.

if we fail to continue this revolution international community cannot come to support us, but if we continue they will come to help us archive our dreams. it happens in Sudan and now happening in Russia and Hongkong they never run away. arresting or beating is part of it but it can't stop ours. good luck southern people of Nigerian, long life southern people of Nigeria and God bless you all for standing for truth and demanding for your right and justice form the hands of oppressors. we shall archive this dreams together.

Nne that’s where I think you and a lot of people may be missing it.
If i was your younger sister and I took your handset out without your consent, if you came out and saw an older girl trying to bullying me and take the phone, would you join me and resist the bully and collect the phone back or would you be like ‘Ifeoma, you must produce my phone oh’? I believe after you get back the phone, you may teach me a lesson not to take my big sister’s phone next time, but to watch me lose the phone that belongs to you because you want to ‘punish’ me, doesn’t appear wise.
You and your loved ones travel on roads that are terrorized by terrorist groups, thinking that 4 years of it will serve Sowore as a lesson may be right, but Sowore isn’t the only person that is exposed to insecurity in Nigeria (he doesn’t even live in the country). This isn’t about any individual or tribe or religion, I have lost a loved one, my dear it is a horrible feeling, no one deserves to feel. Support anyone that will make the Commander-in-Chief stop coming up with excuses but command the forces to curb insecurity- if a General (let's assume he earned it) cannot command his forces then there is a big problem, a problem bigger than Sowore’s past mistakes, we are talking about your and every Nigerians future so Nne again, if you have power to protest, protest if not. Biko wen Ndidi, o da digide.

We are waiting for signal from Nnamdi Kanu before we join the protest....

make we go..... dem never ready...

That's never going to happen. They both after two different things. Nnamdi want that shithole to drop, burn and divide. Sowore wants to do one Niggeria. Anyone that wants Niggeria disintegrated will not attempt to stop Buhari. Why? He is actually dividing that shithole without realizing it.

The only reason Nnamdi may mobilize people to join the protest if they drop the save Niggeria tag and push for complete division. That's about the only reason

If the Yorubas want Igbos to join the revolution, they have to talk about secession, not about making Nigeria strong. It is time to divide this country.

God bless u guys.. I won't say because a person voted this govt, he or she can't repent.

The protest is for the interest of all. The fact that it also requested for our constitution to be deliberated on is a good sign. The presidency is celebrating wrongly. The protest didnt record much success because they used terror to scare the people. U could see how they have bowed to the shite movement.

The govt only understands force. I think the govt quickly released the shite leader to avoid a situation where they may join the revolution protesters. That would have become bloody. They were really scared of that.

Also, the organizers of the protest are not trying to over throw the govt, they only made reasonable demands. They should partner with IPOB to gain more grounds. They should also meet with south south people to gain more grounds. These wicked leaders are simply bent on destroying this country since they already stole enough and kept abroad.

. Revolution protest can succeed if all tribes are involved. A protest organised by a loser of an election is tantamount to treason and felony....Was there revolution during Obasajo and Good luck eras? Why now? It will fail and it has.Enough of this distraction by people who are still nursing injury they sustained by losing in the last election.
