Just once she broke her resolve. He was nice and sweet to her. He started gradually; buying her lunch in the office, agreeing to drop her off after work. He got to her.

She let her guard down. She shared her life story with him. He told her his. The stories were always sad. Women had been unfair to him too. They bonded. Then came the kiss. It was passionate and sensual. She liked it but she had a nagging feeling.

When it became often, she worried. He took her out; lunch on Sunday afternoons, dinners on Friday nights. She didn’t know how to slow down although she knew in her heart of hearts that he was too good to be true.
