Sorry Brother. Igbos are buying property in Lagos, and West, Example Emeka will spend 25 million building a house in Lagos, before 10 years he has recovered all the money. While perpetually he has made you a tenant in your land.

Secondly, I wouldn't want to tell you details about myself, but we make good money here, we don't pay tax, we don't build heavy infrastructures, we relocate the money down East for investment. Please use aerial view to see Eastern Nigeria.

(Wikimapia.com)

Capital flight kills any country, that is what we practice. If Igbos should level Lagos, the value of houses will drop, after all with 500k you can get a plot in Ife today.
And most you claim you understand business and complex economics with this kind of statement

The mentality of an average Yoruba man and Igbo man is not the same. Coloured roof is a big achievement for Igbos.
I stand to be corrected on this, When did Igbo started living together as a community? It's only clans they have back then. Some of the brown roofs building you're talking about is almost 150 years old or more, while Igbo are still using leaves to build. In every Yoruba palace, there's old palace and new palace. The old one is untouched because it always remind us where we're coming from.
A Yoruba city is always of two part, the old part and the new part. We always cherish the old part, because it is our Agboole(clan), and you can't take it away from us.
Everything Igbo is having today in this era of civilization was given to them by Yoruba. HOPE YOU KNEW THAT THE IGBO ALPHABET WAS DESIGNED BY A YORUBA MAN, AND IGBO BIBLE WAS TRANSLATED FROM ENGLISH TO IGBO BY YORUBA MAN. Pls leave Yoruba alone, you can't understand our life, WE ARE 'OMOLUABI', and that comes first before material things which you cherished most in your life.

Change your line of defense.

Paris, Washington, London, Rome, Greece and Egypt are over 700 years old with vintage antique infrastructures, still they're beautiful cities. Your cities are barely 150 years according to you, yet they've all turned to museums.

What infrastructures did you have before FG started building bridges, Airport, Seaports, Railway, Schools and roads?

You said the Yorubas made Igbo Alphabet, I won't need to argue with you, please Sir...

Olaudah Equiano (16 October 1745 – 31 March 1797) known in his lifetime as Gustavus Vassa was a writer and abolitionist from Ihiala, which is in Igbo region of what is today southeastern Nigeria

The date says... 1745, can you tell us any Yoruba man was educated before this man, thanks.

Are Paris, Washington and co in developing nations or developed nations?

Go to developing nations like China, India Brazil and co and see worst houses than those in the Southwest.

Does that mean South East is more developed than those countries?

@ red

Let me correct a notion here

Although we already had big towns, in some instances with walls before the advent of Western civilization, we were also the first to adobt western civilization in Nigeria.

Hence, it is no conincide that the Europeans deem it fit to establish most structures of Western civilization in the western part of Nigeria.

How is this related to capital flight?

When demand outways supply price will fall but the market will soon adjust again

Needless to say, it is the economic viability of a place that makes people go into a state of a region.

Lagos because of its strategic position in the Atlantic ocean will continue to remain economically viable, even if certain people decide to leave the state.

After all, people have always moved In and out of Lagos throughout its history.

More importantly, Yorubas still make a huge chunk of Lagos population.

It's the reality most business minded igbos have to come to accept.

Yoruba women are not cute enough to control the business, Ashawo work is done all over the whole world and it is a business worth several billions of dollars and dictated by pretty women, the Sex business in United states is worth more than the Nigerian GDP

so lucartive is the sex business that 2 yoruba men Bobrisky and Denrele are trying so hard to turn themselves to women.

Speak with facts

✓Rivers has both international Airport and seaports

✓Delta has seaports

✓Government has just spent millions in renovating the Airport in Abuja and building a light rail to Abuja

✓Enugu has an International Airport

Yet, these states still rank low significantly when compared to Lagos economic prowess because of the strategic location of Lagos.

Perhaps you don't know much about what is called leveraging on your competitive advantage.

Your brothers made their ways in droves to Lagos because of this economic viability not the other way round.

Hence, if you guys decide to leave today, others will only sieze the opportunity that Lagos provides

@ second question

Ogun state continues to enjoy economy development because of its strategic location.

Ibadan enjoys economic development because of its strategic location.

Even at that, majority of what is now known as industrial backbone of Lagos was initially in the Western region. i.e Ikeja

Those areas were taken over forcefully by military head of state without compensation to the Western region government..
