HOW TO TREAT SCABIES

“scabies” is a skin disorder that affects the skin and its caused by sarcoptes scabiei that grows inside the skin layer spread out with time leaving your skin itchy. The skin infection can be caused by direct contact with an infected person. Others can contact the scabies mite by sharing bedding, clothing or sexual connection with others. There are so many ways to treat scabies. Basically there are two ways to treat scabies namely:

home remedy

MEDICATION

There are some many medication you can try out. These medications have been tested and proven to reduce skin itches and give body a calmness. Some of these medication are

LOTION

there so many cream/body lotion prescribed by the doctor you can try out. These medication have special components that makes it suit the function of treating scabies. Some of this lotion/body cream are;

PERMETHRIN CREAM

Permethrin is a cream that contains chemicals that kill scabies mites and their eggs. It is generally considered safe for adults, pregnant women and children ages 2 months and older.

LINDANE LOTION:

This is another very good medical recommendation that is prescribed for people infected by this mite. It is a good recommendation for both pregnant, infant and nursing mother.

CROTAMITON (EURAX)

Crotamiton (Eurax) is in form of a body cream or lotion. It’s applied once a day for two days. The medication highly effective also. The safety of this medication hasn’t been established in children, adults 65 and older, or women who are pregnant or nursing. Frequent treatment failure has been reported with Crotamiton.

HOME REMEDY

There are also different home remedy to try out. Sometimes these remedy are very effective even though many of them are not totally experimented upon. The home remedy to try are;

HOT WATER SOLUTION

It is proven that scabies mites are allergic to heat and because of that using hot water is a great step to remedy the solution. Bath and soak bedding and clothing with hot water before washing. Allow heat dry up your cloths very well and after that is done, iron cloths thoroughly to heat the cloths very well. This step is sequel to observing a proper hygiene.

TEA TREE OIL

Tea tree oil are also every effective. Tea tree oil also help reduce the symptoms of scabies. Tea tree oil is a well-known essential oil. This oil have been proven and facts carried out claims it is best for treating scabies.

ALOE VERA

Aloe vera is a very popular skin remedy used to give skin calmness and solve all skin disorder. History has it that aloe vera is a common remedy for sun burn.

It was, in fact, found to be as effective as a prescription content for benzyl benzoate.

NEEM

Neem is an oil. It can be found in creams and ointments available online. Neem has analgesic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. There have been some studies that suggest that neem is effective in treating scabies because it kills the mites.
