Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has revealed his best moment in a Gunners shirt, after his 18-year career recently came to an end.
The Dutchman, who spent eight years in North London, scored 96 goals for the club, winning the Premier League Golden Boot in his final season before his move to Manchester United.
And van Persie, who has just joined BT Sport as a pundit for the 2019-20 campaign, believes that his goal in the Champions League Round of 16 in 2011 was the pick of the bunch.
He said: "It must be the goal against Barcelona. Because of the occasion, because of the opponent.
“Pep [Guardiola] was the manager at the time and to beat that team, they were so good.

“Before that game, nobody really gave us a chance. We were losing by 1-0, this was for 1-1 and you can just see the special feeling to get a goal against one of the best sides in Europe."
Arsenal went on to win the game 2-1, thanks to van Persie’s strike and an 83 minute Andrey Arshavin winner.
But, having taken that lead to the Nou Camp, were eventually beaten 3-1 in Barcelona and defeated 4-3 on aggregate.

Van Persie was sent off in the second leg, after the striker was shown two yellow cards, the second one a debateable booking for playing on after the referee had blown his whistle.
A Xavi goal and a Lionel Messi penalty eventually succumbed Arsenal to another Champions League knockout, but the first leg still holds good memories in RvP’s memory.

The 36-year-old made the controversial move to Old Trafford just a year after then, where he went on to win the Premier League in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season in charge of United.
He then had spells at Fenerbahce and boyhood club Feyenoord before hanging up his boots at the end of the 2018-19 campaign
