I'm pretty sure the man wasn't saying that all non-gospel songs are devilish.
jaxxy:
While he has a point. Not all circular or contemporary music is ungodly. There is a life outside the church.

There are spiritual songs and love songs, Revolution songs and others. These are aspects of life.

The church develops talents more than you know. Timi Dakolo's was developed while he was at Church of God mission and infact the most of the best vocalists in Nigeria we're church choristers.
Blogfarms:
Church should make efforts in developing talents too.. Talents is suppose to make way for people.. We have bills to pay too.. Christ embassy promotes their talents... Other church should follow.. Give them reasons and benefits in serving the Lord

You sing for a churh for 10 yrs with nothing to show for it.

You manage to sponsor yourself and release good albums, they dont buy cos you are not Sinach as if Sinach fell from the sky.

They expect you to continue serving them wether you have a way of paying your bills or not.

Now when you get an opportunity to sing for people that value your talents and a means to put food on your table, those stupid hypocritical members many of whom deals in corruption daily and eat through it will come for your head for singing "ungodly" songs.
Christians are the biggest hypocrites in the world.

It is not possible sir. You cannot call a fish to come and live above water.
90% of these people Baba Mike Bamiloye is talking about are not really Christians. They were just church goers.
No Born-again christian will posses a gift and begin to use it for the world. The truth is they need to become truly born again first.

The remaining 10% who may have been born again became tempted by fame and money that worldly music gives.
Yeah they need to be born again
