Good. I've been trying to explain to a PDP friend of mine.

He texted me this morning telling me how, APC has underperformed GEJ PDP in tax collections, upon all the noise. He seemed very happy about the 'bad news'.

Some Nigerians wish for & celebrate bad news about their country, purely for party political reasons

Fowler is coming back. That was the same way some people came up with a 500 million fraud when Emefiele was about to be reappointed for another term.

They want to do same thing now, but they will fail.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.

But when e reach to appoint him brothers nobody dey bring query or allegation.

I am not a politician neither do I wish to be one in future. But the way and manner Politics is played in Nigeria is ridiculous to say the least. Is Mr Fowler not competent to be appointed to the post of FIRS as boss?Yes.,So why the fuss?.was it because he was recommended by Tinubu,so we expect the man to fall?.Why I we so devilish? why do we wish evil to befalls people once we are not in the same political arena?. Could someone else have apointed Mr Fowler, everything will be okay then.Mr Kyari could have raised issues on Accounting just to get the true knowledge and pictures of the situation before the Presidency, but does that meant Fraud, afterall, that area is not Mr Kyari's Specialisation.Believed Bloggers at you own peril!!! .

Buhari is a conservative. He would rather stick with an old hand who has not totally messed up than experiment with a new hand.

Let’s not abuse the term “conservative” here. Such political terms are meaningless when it comes to the Nigerian political landscape

Abba Kyari is presently looking for a rock to crawl under....as it becomes clear to the blind that his boss has wrecked the economy completely. I thought after the much trumpeted war against corruption our GDP will erupt like the infamous Mount Krakatoa.... spewing hot lava of untold riches.... instead and unfortunately its raining only ashes in Nigeria these days....sorry Mr. Kyari, no rocks.... just ashes.

We shall see the end of the drama. Nigeria voted for a people that have no value and regard for institutions and yet they profess themselves as agent of change and anti corruption.
On what ground should Abba kyari query the FIRS boss as his direct report or what?
Let them face it. It is their cup of tea.

You can't blame kyari. Kyari doesn't know anything about Taxation or forces that can make revenue to decrease. He is just trying to be in the game

Three points to note here:
1. Does Fowler report to the president or to the Chief of Staff? That the Chief of staff sent a query to the FIRS chairman speaks volumes. It further strengthens insinuations that that red capped man is the main man running the government.
2. Fowler making excuses for under-performance.
3. Another strategy for Fowler to be removed and another Mohammed/Ibrahim to take over.

The main travesty is that brilliant minds from SW are doing boy-boy under barely literate a. bokis. Even their degrees are mostly quota system admission degrees.

One would think anyone not under Olumo Rock since 2014 would know what Fowler described in his analysis. shocked shocked

Some FIRS offices e.g Awka are asking newly registered companies to pay 250K for tax clearance. Excessive taxation can actually slow down the economy and ultimately lead to low tax revenues.A more reasonable approach is to tax moderately but ensure that more people/companies pay taxes.

With all the insecurity Buhari has wreaxked on Nigeria, using his Fulani Herdsmen, how does Kyari expect Revenue to improve?
Cant Abba Kyari find another good excuse to remove Fowler and give the job to another of his Kyari cousins?
Really, people voted for Buahri but he is just a dumb figure-head who has abdicated his job to Kyari.
