Ojodu Berger grin

Even at some point, Alausa - Ikeja bus will be used to convey passengers from berger to Ikeja

but I think Oshodi - Berger is the busiest based on personal experience

Owaincouncil:
The 800 bus was bought for the 2023 presidential ambition of Tinubu. They won't allow people to use it now. It's for 2023 campaign

When you say things like this in public, it makes people question how your brain works.

Lagos is not overpopulated. Compare its population density with cities like New York, Tokyo, Singapore you will know Lagos is far from being overpopulated. What we lack is planning.

Jungle city, everybody is going to Lagos just to go and stay in Lagos no skill, no work, no plans just overpopulating the dying city with nuisance of endless traffic jam, one chance, hoodlums, and all sorts of nonsense, the worse place to live in the whole world is just the right verdict for this calamity city..

and the only solution is to decongest the Lagos... pure and simple. I can not blame the lagos state government since other south regions have refused to have sense.

In this digital age, some companies can make some of their departments work from home. The staff can set up at home and work from there. There's no need going to the office to do what can be done from home. Only staff in critical areas who need to be at the office should go to the office. This will reduce traffic.

Lagos, the center of aquatic splendor is definitely not a place you dull yourself on a Monday morning especially those living on Mainland who are working on the Island, it's normally a tussle as everyone is trying to meet up with appointment, offices and not to be caught in traffic reason why it's being called the rush hour! Mondays are usually hectic and busy with few or no bus for commuters who have no choice than to wait on a long queue.

This is the crowd at Lagos bus terminals on a typical Monday morning. This is the Berger-Ikeja BRT terminal and you can imagine the crowd at this place despite no buses at sight.

There’s a popular song by the Afrobeat musician, the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, which says, “in Lagos, you must approach everything you do on Monday morning with a sense of urgency”.

Despite the introduction of 800 new BRT buses to the roads, it still looks as if no impact was made in terms of transportation in the city of Lagos. Transportation is the pilot that moves a megacity such as Lagos, it is, therefore, essential that the state government should design a long-lasting road map that will be sustainable and curb all traffic jams being experienced in the city of Lagos.

We can allow the Uber, Bolt, OBus, of this world to provide an alternative to the middle class who are looking for a service that provides comfort as close to their private cars.

Provision of decent public transportation service to the population at the bottom of the pyramid is where mass transit has its greatest strength and this is where our captive market is located.

You've said it all. Lagos is the centre of aquatic splendor, it is surrounded by water so I wonder why the Government is slow in exploiting waterways as a means of transporting commuters.
I stay in Ikorodu and during the construction of our road, we thought it'll minimise traffic congestion especially with the BRTs but the reverse has been the case.
Not only on Mondays but everyday, Lagosians flood BRT terminals in hope of getting to work early and paying lesser fares but they actually spend hours on the queue. In some cases, the time spent on queues is enough for Danfo to arrive their destination.
Lagos State Government must integrate waterways transport into our society. From Madigun in Ikorodu to Lekki-Ajah is 45 mins if you use the waterways plus it's cheaper too.
It's just sad that these buses were recently bought by the government. If they knew, they would have gotten boats instead.
We are more than 21 million! Roads aren't enough!!

How you want do the subway when dem don build house everywhere?

Smiles, subways are usually way below in the ground; houses or not.

The real problem is the lack of political will. The light rail system (blue and red line) are yet to be completed; after so many years of the commencement of the construction.

More serious is the fact Nigeria is still dependent on the train tracks built by the British roughly 60 years ago - and we are still using the old locomotive trains, in this 21s t century.

I think we should be more concerned with that. Nigeria is messed up and we keep voting in crap leaders. God help that country.

No megacity relies on buses - ain't gone work! What you people should do is pressure Sanwo-Olu to continue work on the metro line started by Fashola.

Typical Nigerian.
There's Jakarta, Delhi and Kolkata, Tokyo, NY.
When a city is getting overpopulated what does a govt do? Restrategise by first ensuring all employers of labour spread their offices across the city especially to under developed areas. Next, develop advanced mass transit schemes and reform the transport sector with policies and infrastructure whilst discourage private vehicles on the road.

Which one has LASG done?

Suffer has skewed our brains so bad that we amplify problems before imagining the possibility of a solution.

Tell them, my brother. We seriously want to keep a city of possibly up to 20 million people moving on buses!

Thank you.

Every Nigerian deserves a trip to the advanced world at least once a year, so they can see possibilities instead of magnifying small problems and worshipping stupid old deranged bastards for feeding school children while their parents are unemployed and willing to work.

What is the usefulness of good vehicle on a terrible road network.

Get road in good condition and allow smooth vehicular movement thereby reducing traffic and congestion and the worth of 800 vehicle can be felt
