Which kind modus operandi be dis one undecided searching his house for evidence of a case of over 16 years lipsrsealed
This is not money laundering matter and I think they should search the home of bullion van politicians

Shebi some ediots said accusers should leave the social media na? Now they've decided to leave social media for you guys yet many of you are not sane enough to comprehend the whole issue. You think the matter is only about the 16 year old issue? Do you know the number of victims behind the scene (social media)?

I doubt if this guy has good lawyers. What kind of evidence are the police looking for in a 20year old rape case? Raiding his house and office to look for what? Forex?

And who told you the 20 year old rape case is the only matter before the police?

You seems not to understand how detectives works.
Pastor Fatoyinbo could have make some incriminating write up to the 2 Pastors in Lagos and Port Harcourt thst Bisola alleged begged her 20 yrs ago over the matter.
Fatoyinbo may have emailed the 2 Pastors to lie and that evidence could be used to confirm the allegations and nailed him.

You people fail to believe for some reason anyway police is following the normal protocol. They can't obtain a search warrant unless they have reasonable evidence to do so...if you don't know anything go and ask a lawyer. Nigerians should stop talking like illiterates on nairaland.

sighs, sensible comment at last. Some people don't know a jack about what is called investigation. To read a simple piece and comprehend is another difficult task. Even when it was stated that, based on the interview of the witnesses, the house and office were searched some people are still bashing the police. Definitely the police were looking for evidences, based on witnesses testimonies.

I wonder the type of people that comment on Nairaland. Some are so ignorant. When investigating a crime against a person. the investigating officer may stumble on other crimes committed by the accused which may not even be related to the rape case. Let's say for example, money laundering. The police officer is not going to close his eyes to what he found because the initial case is about rape. So many other women apart from Busola have also accused Fatoyinbo. Some witnesses might have said something which necessitated the search of his home and office. For example he might have paid some people to lie or buy their silence. The police may be looking for cheque books, documents etc. The ignorant ones should know that the court does not grant search warrants if there is no strong reason to do so. The police has to give concrete reasons why they need to search his home and office because the pastor has rights under our constitution. So the police proved to the judge why his house needs to be searched and they were issued a search warrant.

The Nigerian Police Force have seized the international passport of pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA.

This was done as part of the bail condition granted to the pastor who was interrogated few days ago over a rape allegation leveled against him by Busola Dakolo, wife of singer Timi Dakolo.

A search was conducted at his residence and office on Wednesday by detectives from the Force Criminal Investigation Department(FCID), Abuja.

According to source who spoke to Daily Sun, “the home of the pastor and his office were searched today by detectives investigating the matter, but I cannot tell you what they found, but defiantly they were looking for incriminating documents and other evidences that was revealed by witnesses during the discreet investigation conducted in the matter.

“Also part of the bail conditions given to pastor Fatoyinbo is that he provides two level 16 officers who have landed property in Abuja, and that his international passport to be deposited with the police which he has done”. The source said.

Part of the bail condition sees Fatoyinbo providing two level 16 officers who have landed properties in Abuja.

The COZA pastor has since been released to go home but told to report regularly at the FCID in Abuja.

THIS IS A BITTER LESSON TO RANDY MEN !

Take it or leave it. Their past could come out to hunt or hurt them.

The Fatoyinbo saga is just one of those story that has entered the history books!

Where is Mrs Modele that was defending the Pastor husband.

The serial rapist refused to repent, so he may have consequently sealed his fate.

He probably thought that he could deceive his way out of this, but when God comes for you, who can you run to, and where can you hide?

He made two big mistakes.

1. Committing those atrocities.

2. Not humbling himself afterwards before God and truly turning from his wicked ways.

This is what it means when ones cup is full.

Really sad that he chose this path.

It's not hopeless though as long as he yet remains alive, but would he take it?

That's the question.

He has the answer to that question.

My exact sentiment. Imagine police giving bail conditions! They've turned police duty on its head and I wonder why his lawyer would let that happen.

However, what I find more bothersome is it took over 40 comments before someone here mentioned/realized it!

Thank you for thinking correctly. Some Nairalanders are of the opinion that there may be fresh allegations against the Pastor. This might have led them to searching the Pastors house undecided

I didn’t see anyone saying, because a search warrant was obtained, then he is guilty. No one, except a Judge in a lawful procedure in a court and after giving the accused the chance to confront his accusers can be declared guilty.

The Police must clearly articulate that their search will uncover specific evidence before a Judge will grant it. I think that is what he is trying to say.

Also from the article, some of his accusers must have told the police what to look for. These could be circumstantial evidence of the crime, it’s cover up, it’s admission, etc. Whatever it is, the Pastor is a well known figure and we should give the police a chance to do their job.
You clearly didn't read our conversation. I maintained a ground of neutrality by asking for evidence but he insisted that I was getting things wrong; that it's clear that Fatoyinbo is guilty and people/police are beginning to see this because the police got a search warrant on him since they have evidence against Fatoyinbo. Evidence for what?
