Had anyone been in this situation whereby neither calls nor SMS can reach your mtn number. It stayed yesterday when I updated my android. Airtel works perfectly well but the MTN is the culprit. I've removed the sim and reinsert but still the same thing. Any solution?

Try the SIM in another phone if it's not working that means it's the sim fault, if it works that means it is your phone fault, you will need to wipe the phone then, it's a common issue with some tecno phones.

Thanks for your input. It's an umidigi a5 pro. The problem started when I updated the device yesterday. Now the sim is working but on the second sim slot and not the first sim slot, its initial location. Airtel works on both sim, though the MTN works on the first sim too but it could only browse while other functions refused to work. MTN sim have been having complaints lately from customers.

Yes sure. It's from the network provider

why not reset your phone and put in the sim or try a new sim

It's working properly now but I put it in the second sim tray. I guess the issue is from mtn itself.
