The minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, has promised that the federal government will push for accountability and compensation for Nigerians that suffered losses in South Africa.

He disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday during a press briefing with the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Moroe over the continued xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa.

Onyeama added that while the Nigerian government believes that criminality knows no bound, it condemns the frequent attacks on Nigerians in diaspora, including South Africa, and will do everything to end this unwarranted attacks

How long have Nigerian government been waiting for accountability? How many times have Nigerians been killed or will be killed in SA xenophobic attacks? So compensation is the expectation here.So Nigerians blood will continue to be spill in that country as the govt is also doing back home here?

Why can't the Nigerian government withdraw its ambassador & bundle back it SA counterpart or imposed sanctions on SA investments in Nigeria(close down Shoprite, MTN, DSTV etc?)

Compensation bien bawo, the goods in Shoprite alone all over the country is worth Billions of Naira. The government should seal off their outlets and use the money to compensate the Nigerian citizens that are attacked in South Africa.
MTN and DSTV should also not be left out.
