Proud of the new plant including for the fact that it is off grid. However, this is NOT the largest solar plant in Africa. Not even close. There are bigger projects on Morocco, Egypt and even Kenya.

It is purportedly the largest off-grid solar hybrid power plant in Africa. The largest off-grid solar system is 10.6MW and it is sited in Australia.

True. Garissa solar plant is 50 MW but not off grid-7 MW is actually limited,tbh.

Very commendable but they are a lot of solar projects in development across Africa that is a lot bigger than this.

I read the Delta State govt is implementing it in the three state polytechnics in their state with one almost completed.

there's diff between "solar power" and "solar hybrid power". This is def not d largest power plant in the continent but the largest "solar hybrid power" plant in africa.
