Following series of attacks on Nigerians and their businesses legally residing in South Africa, Nigerians are trending a hashtag to register their displeasure over the reaction of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

In response to attack on Nigerians residing in the foreign country, Mr Buhari, is said to have dispatched special envoy to engage authorities of the country on how to find lasting solution to the unabated attacks.

Angered by the action of the president, Nigerians are trending #WeNoGetPresident on Twitter, calling for more disciplinary action against South Africa.

A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, a known critic of the present administration, called for an end to the diplomatic ties with the foreign country.

“The only way to make the South Africans appreciate that Nigerians cannot be killed like chickens is not by sending an envoy but by breaking off diplomatic relations and nationalising all SouthAfrican companies in Nigeria. If they do not stop after that then we should declare war,” Mr Fani-Kayode tweeted on Wednesday.

Below are some of the reactions picked by TODAY POLITICS.

South African government and also proffer solutions to the plights of her citizens in a foreign land.
The president has failed to address the nation via TV or radio. I believe this will go a long way in calming frayed nerves .#WeNoGetPresident

#WeNoGetPresident

Nigerians are not ready to move away from APC & PDP.

The two political parties don't have a plan for Nigeria's future.

We must have the right mix of technocrats and career politicians for us to get a good president to move Nigeria forward.

Nigeria is bad, you travelled out just to take care of your family, doing legit business but after a while, you get killed or deported.

You stay in Nigeria doing the legal hustle you get harassed I think it is time to take the fight to our government #WeNoGetPresident

The problems we face now – poverty and violence at home, war and destruction abroad – will last only as long as we continue relying on the same politicians who created them in the first place. #XenophobiaInSouthAfrica #WeNoGetPresident

Surely we don't. We only have political leaders that plays politics with citizens life.

Just imagine if this has happened in 2014 and what Lai Mohammed, Tinubu, Buhari and APC would have said

NA Afonjas and their hatred for Jonathan.

Jonathan went to adeboye, adeboye brought him out on the alter, every redeem member prayed for him. Adeboye assured him that God will give Victory.

When buhari picked osinbajo, adeboye instructed redeem members to vote buhari because of osinbajo, even after promising Jonathan that God will give Jonathan victory...

This people have betrayal in their DNA.
