Oga, you can't mentor someone who is bigger and greater than you.. Its a fact, not an opinion. Jay Jay Mentored Ronaldinho while at PSG, and you didn't see that on his Wikipedia page(since you know d website). The only reason Jay left was because he decided Neva to renew his contract. This ain't suppose to be argued seff.. case closed.

U are getting it completely wrong. D question is not whether JJ mentored him or not. D question what did JJ teach him? All u are saying have nothing to do with d question I asked. What has his contract got 2do with what JJ taught Ronaldinho?

Maybe your Wikipedia is different from ours, go check for that Fernabace goal and d analysis again.. Dont deny or sugarcoat just to win an argument. The goal is analysed on his wikipedia page..And why keep running away from the part that he was in 1998 world cup team of the tournament, even wen we had a disappointing world cup outing?

Pls copy and paste d analysis of d particular "best goal in turkey" from JJs Wikipedia page& copy d link of d page.

Kanu won the Premier league(2),FA cup(3),Champions league,Uefa cup(Europa League),Olympics Gold...But you think Mane is more successful because he shared d golden boot with 2 other players?

What did Kanu do in CAF organized tournament?

He wasn't a better player in Bolton compared to Fernabace. Dig out his statistics and do d comparison yourself. Jay Jay Neva improved dat was his problem. He plays for himself, and not D team. Ronaldinho improved every season, that was why he can stand as one of the ALL TIME GREATEST ahead of Jay Jay( who was just having fun)

Let's put this discussion into perspective. What he scored in Turkey & Germany aren't d issue. This is what u said:

"Yes when they both played for PSG, Okocha was better and even mentored Ronaldinho. But as Ronaldinho was improving, Okocha wasn't improving, just playing for fun."

My response was thus:

"Ur last sentence is very wrong. PSG was actually d turning point 4 JJ as a footballer."

U keep talking about France '98 that JJ was selected in d FIFA team 4 that year. It will interest u to no that JJ was actually in d reserve of that FIFA selected team. With all d dribbling he dribbled at d WC, how did that impact d success of his team? With all his dribbling, he came runner up to Mustapha Hadji who became Africa's best player for 1998.

France 98 did two things 4 JJ, both positive & negative. D WC was a springboard 4 JJ because it showcased him 2d world as one of if not d most talented/skillfull footballers d world has ever seen. Negatively, d WC exposed JJ as a player whose talent couldn't lift his team. It showed that he didn't have what it took to raise his team. He dribbled, but played his shots way over d bar. It showed JJ lacked technical discipline and decision making.

It was because of d positives from his WC performance that made PSG come knocking with a 14m bid 4 his services. And it was because of d negatives from his performance, that's y he didn't score as many goals in PSG as he did in Fernabeche.

When he got to PSG, he came in contact with Luis Fernandez, d coach of PSG. Fernandez was team mate of d likes of Jean Tigana and Michel Platini in their playing days. He was also a strict coach who played European football with more emphasis on technical discipline. because of this, he cut JJ to size& reduced his flamboyance that forced him to focus more on d team than himself. In most cases, he had JJ play from d left of midfield as a left winger.

From this experience, JJ became more disciplined technically that's y I said PSG was d turning point in his playing career.

When JJ left 4 Bolton, he had become exceptionally mature. Whenever he had d ball, his eyes were up, scanning d length & breadth of d field, looking 4 his team mate to pass to. His cross field passes were pinpoint. He stringed passes much more better than he ever did. He controlled d game& made things happen 4 others on d field of play. Hence in 2004 African nations cup, he won d Golden ball award. He was d best player of d tournament.

In football, there are 4 things football playing revolves around. They are talent, technical discipline (technique), decision making and tactics. Tactics is strictly under d purview of d coach but d other 3, are 4d player. Technique& decision making are taught by a coach. D extent to which a player has talent, technique & decision making, determines how far they will go in football. B4 PSG, JJ had an abundance of talent but lacked technique and good decision making. That was a 1 over 3. That's y u c that players who didn't have as much talent as JJ excelled more than JJ because they had d other 2 qualities much more than JJ. D reason 4 this can b traced to his playing days at Eintracht Frankfurt.

At Frankfurt, JJ was under d tutelage of Jupp Henkyes, d legendary German coach. JJ was skillful/talented, but he along with Yeboah were truant players. Hence, he was unable to learn football technique & good decision making as it involved football. That's y if u watched (not read about) JJ when he started playing for Nigeria, JJ couldn't shoot. He would dribble & then shoot over d bar. His passes weren't even pinpoint. As a 10, he couldn't control d game. If u watched Atlanta '96, u really can't say he was a spectacular player that influenced d game 4 Nigeria.

So when u say Ronaldinho improved and JJ didn't, that's not true cos JJs biggest improvement to become a complete player was at PSG. Unfortunately, he was at d twilight of his career while Ronaldinho was just starting his. JJ is 8years older than Ronaldinho. At d time JJ left PSG, Ronaldinho was just 22. At that age, he learnt what JJ didn't learn when he was 22. If JJ had all 3 qualities I mentioned much much earlier, even Maradona& Zidane would have been bowing down 4 JJ

The fact that jj okocha didn’t win much in his career is an open secret but despite all these he is still one of the most respected and best footballers to ever come out of Africa...if it’s about achievements and trophies alone then Mikel obi should be on the same level with didier drogba and yaya toure and higher than micheal Essien on such lists!
