Dice is a game in which the main purpose of it is predicting a certain number, that Is why gambling and soothsaying is forbidden because it deals with prediction of events that are not yet ascertained.

FIFA, chess and any form of gaming is not forbidden it is only slightly discouraged because the time spent on such activities can be used for something better.
