I have been warning my wife about what she is watching with my children on TV but she won't listen.

She won't listen just like the rest of the stubborn headed end time wives that will sit down and be watching with their young daughters a programme called "Sabrina and the teenage witch"

He means families can easily grow apart. Being family means you sometimes have to sacrifice for others.

Picture dad wants to watch football, mum zworld, baby ceebeebies, son cartoon network, daughter Disney junior. So let's say you do get 5 tvs. The whole family is in one house in their free time and there is no bonding.
That's why some advocate for only one TV. Otherwise some family members can disappear and only reappear for meals.
Everything has time.
U can bond by cooking food together.
U help them with their homework, that's bonding.
U take them to the field to play ball and what have u, that's bonding.
And when everybody eats at the same time sitting together, that's bonding.

There are things I watch exclusively and u can't get them on the general or kids tv's.
Let kids be kids pls.

My kids have selected playlists.
They have selected music videos they watch.
It's hard work but it pays at the end.

Even if its one tv, it should be for kids.
Adults should use their phones or laptops.
U don't drag the tv with children.

there is a conundrum here

mum wants to watch her programs and they clash with the kids programs
so what do you do?

i stopped watching dstv a while back, so no clashes per se

i actually bought a tablet for our toddler for this reason. when madam is watching her programs, the guy gets upset because they are not his thing.

Her solution was to put kiddie programs on her laptop for him to watch.he destroyed her monitor, scattered her keyboard. So now we have a tab filled with kiddie shows.

is the man ready to get his kids a playroom or a seperate tv or something that they can be doing if their free time is their mum's free time?

he should be happy no nephew or nieces are living with him. then na mtv base or channel o booty videos the kids go dey watch. or straiught up x-x-x

Its really difficult, my kids had a TV in their room. Another problem is A wants Power rangers B wants PJ mask hence they are always fighting. Till they succeeded in pushing the TV down. Now that my younger sister is around the kind of music they sing these days... Me sef tire I have cautioned her but she won't change. My boys now know BBnaija. I had to use the DSTV parental control to password all the channel I don't want them to watch. Me, I have learnt to enjoy their cartoon with them. My boys now are so addicted to their cartoons if you see them speaking you will not know that this ones have not gotten to international airport before.

please try ceebeebies and pbs kids

those ones at least try to be educational. cartoon network will ROT your kids brains. it is pure entertainment only.

You are very correct, sometimes last year it was in the social media about pornography in cartoon network I didn't take it very seriously not until one particular day I was watching with them, in fact I was really shocked cuz it was adult content. I had to block cartoon network. Am very much at peace when they are watching ceebeeies it's highly educational. Their programs are mainly to educate kids. There is science, adventure, phonics and mind games for kids. Am OK with ceebeebies, pbs, jimjam and mindset( though for older children).
