Finallydead:If God is love and good such thing as evil will never exist. He's the creator and knows every possible thing that will happen in future, so again if he's all loving and good, no evil will exist not even a room for it. It's either God is incapable or he's malevolent. Now to your query, God didn't create suffering, suffering is rather a state outside of his perfect design which we choose whenever we're tempted to go against his perfect will so we "create" and have been creating it even without knowing whenever we disobey Him. The story of Adam illustrates this There was no such suffering in Eden until Adam rebelled and continuous rebellion has led to increased suffering. God wants to rectify this that's why he came to suffer but he will have to have men cooperate with him and follow his righteousness because again he can effect nothing on earth without men's cooperation. Ps115:16, Mat 6:9-10.God is said to be the creator of all, everything that exist still lead back to him being the cause except you want to tell him God didn't create all. Like they say he's omnipotent and omniscient. He can simply make amendment from onset since he posses those powers not this unecessary drama we read in religious texts. Again you're totally wrong to think freewill cannot coexist with pre ordinations of God. I've already said so before, the preordination by God is for a certain goal and each of us is given the opportunity to do our part in fulfilling it but as that depends on our freewill we may never do it. That will not however stop Gods goal from being fulfilled boos someone else might even have to be born just to do what you failed to do and in the end Gods gaol is still accomplished. If I have a business and I want my sons to work with me and take it over eventually and they refuse, then if I were God I'd make me more children until I finally have some to do as I wish That way I don't force anyone to choose my will but I ensure my preordained will is eventually done. Let me ask, before you are born, did God predestined your life? If yes, can you act independently from this predestination? |

Acidosis: I'm sorry to have a different opinion but do u Kno her praying and fasting was useless and inconsequential. Weda she prayed or not Christ was predestined to be born, to die and to resurrect. Likewise in our modern day, in as much as fasting is not bad. But B4 fasting ask ursef why are you fasting? Fasting for things like power, more grace, food, money is an insult to the holy spirit. God doesn't need ur fast anyway. Study d word of God and pray for understanding. |

tintingz: 1. Bro if you're born again, you should have experienced the bliss of Gods life inside of you and then I would have to wonder how you could see God this way. I know God is good even before logic coz I've experienced his life inside of me-unexplainable love, joy and peace. From that starting point I have gradually seen that even logic shows God is good. Good and evil has always existed because there is God(good) and then the possibility outside of God(evil). If not we can't have a choice between 2. God puts justice before ability/power. He will do what is just not just what He can. It is unjustto create a being without freewill to choose good and evil if you want to make him an administrator in your kingdom over other created beings and also to prevent a being from experiencing the consequences of his actions good or evil 3. Of course, you can act independently, he doesn't predestine your choice, he predestines his will/goal which will be ultimately achieved even if you fail to do your part which he predestined for you originally because someone/something else will be born to do it in your place. This is a very simple point we keep going over. There is such a thing as substitution when God sees you've made your choice against him. It's all over the scriptures with Eli and Samuel, Saul and David, Israel and the gentile church e.t.c. |

Finallydead: - Again if God is good why did he create evil like Satan? - What Justice is God looking for when he can see the future and knows everything? - If I can act independently from God's predestination, does it mean God didn't know my fate? |

tintingz: Look at my modified post, I think a careful reading would answer these questions Again bro, don't be proud enough to think you can challenge His wisdom, even if you don't have reasonable answers to all questions in this world, you will in the end in eternity and you will only see where YOU (not God) missed a thing or two or overlooked something and even you at that time will admit without coercion that He is just when you see from His glorious light. So make up your mind to do right always even when you don't know all the answers and hope for as many answers as will come. |

urchcoded: Study Matthew 17:20-21. Saying that fasting or prayer is useless because of predestination is like saying we shouldn't bother about salvation or holiness since God already has destined people for heaven and hell. Have you asked yourself why Adam and Eve failed? Were they predestined to fail? Was Cain destined to kill his brother, Abel? We're talking about the same Jesus that fasted and prayed for 40 days before he began his ministry? It wasn't just an ordinary prayer or the MFM type. The Bible says he prayed and his sweat was like blood (Luke 22:44). What's all that for? Useless exercise? Your line of thought, of course, is not strange to me since there is a particular brand of Christianity that propagates this kind doctrine. So, yea, let's study the word and pray for understanding. |

MiaB: Dear goodness! That couldn't be farther from the truth. Ma'am if you know the death I speak of you'd know it's d beginning of d greatest life and adventure possible on planet earth. The only thing suicidal about it is the intensity of the joy, love and hope energies flowing inside can sometimes seem to wanna kill you. Believe me! A beginning of life on another plane where the sun is risen for good and never sets. U dig? Then again, this re-emphasises your proverb - don't judge a book by its cover. |

Hipsofagoddess: So the rich can't be an unbeliever. A rich person can't be sick, heart broken, weak and low in heart. So Jesus was only sent to the poor hence the reason the rich do have a special place in religious houses. |

africa4ever:The #1 reason why we are to pray is obedience. Jesus Christ said that those who love Him are those who obey His teachings and commandments; He commands we pray, and so those who love Him, would do just as He commands. |
Re: Why Do We Pray, Since God Already Knows Everything? by Kobojunkie: 3:06am On May 17, 2023 |
Acidosis:1. Predestined by God to do what exactly? The only people God predestined are the children of Israel of whom He said He will build His special Nation of Priests of - Exodus 19 vs 6 - and it is for this exact reason that Jesus Christ told you that the Father sent Him only to the lost sheep of Israel and not the dogs. 2. And you think the God who, when asked to teach His followers how to pray, gave them only a few lines which they can recite in less than a minute, wants you to pray for 84 years like Anna is claimed to have? How many other prophets do you read of in scripture who prayed even 1/100th that much? Even Jesus Christ, the Son of God Himself spent so much more of His time doing good works and little here and there praying but na Anna you wan talk say her story get significance? |

NigPatriot:There is really no connection between prayer and the adversary nor does prayer deter the adversary, I am afraid. It is not meant as a sort of talisman against evil. It is mainly an act done in obedience to God's commandments and teachings because God grants even the desires of the hearts of the righteous as they do not need to pray before He does so. |

africa4ever:That is one of the greatest lies ever told to the religion of Churchianism. Prayer is only worth much if you are already righteous; prayer is worthless to the unrighteous when it comes to the resolution of day-to-day problems because God does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous. |
Re: Why Do We Pray, Since God Already Knows Everything? by Kobojunkie: 12:59am On May 27, 2023 |
■ Nice one, but it appears you left out the primary purpose of prayer which is the obedience of God's Word. To obey God's Word means the same thing as not falling into sin or temptation, and the reason the tempter comes to a person is make that person disobey God's Word, so prayer helps the person to make the tempter not succeed.Prayer in and of itself does not shore against disobedience(sin) of God's direct commandments and teachings. It is possible to be deeply prayerful and still riddled with sin. That is the self-discipline/self-control — strength — that one builds against sin by choosing obedience that keeps one from sinning. So, when in Matthew 26 vs 41 Jesus Christ said to pray for strength against temptation, He meant that you obey God's command to pray(obedience) — in addition to all other commandments and teachings, mind you — in order to gain the strength — self-discipline, and self-control— to keep you from sinning(disobedience). Prayer helps as a form of obedience to God's Law and commandment but prayer in and of itself does not give you the strength — self-control and self-discipline — necessary to overcome the temptation to sin(disobey) God's direct teachings and commandments. |

malvisguy212:There is no truth to this either. God pours out His mercy every single day on even the wicked and the ungrateful. Meaning that those who don't even ask Him or believe in Him also get from Him. |
