Well, its a welcome development. Police light to have fished out this serial killers and their masterminds, what with CCTV cams available in these hotels, couple with the fact that its just impossible for staffs of the hotels not to have some description of clients that booked certain rooms. Well, they might be waiting for presidential directive to do their job.

You're not looking at the business angle. Nobody would patronize an hotel with CCTV. Nobody wants to be caught cheating. Don't let's talk about the violation of privacy aspect.
The hotel management are no fools.

You people have a disturbed sense of priorities.
So a killer on a spree is acceptable as long as it’s women who are getting killed?

Let’s even agree that the ladies who are getting killed are prostitutes (an entirely unfounded conclusion BTW), does that mean they deserve to be killed?

Your hypocritical sense of morality does not somehow tell you that it means you also deserve to be killed for something ‘immoral’ that you’re doing or have done in the past?

Thank you! Nigerians are senseless angry

Following the recent killings of young girls in Port Harcourt, some group of concerned ladies has taken to the streets of Port Harcourt to stage a peaceful protest creating awareness on the serial incident.

Part of the place visited was the hotel where the last victim's body was found.

Asking prostitutes to be killed is like asking all yahoo boiz to be killed when they are caught by efcc. Though some of our ladies should find a more dignified job to do rather than seeking out men who will pay them in exchange for sex, but killing women for such act is so barbaric and inhumane.

Well, this serial killer might have his own personal reason for doing so! You can't tell what the person who is behaving in such manner has experienced?

which of them deserve to live , both olosho and yahoo boiz are terrible.

The bad and deteriorating roads in Port Harcourt is giving its residents a lot of stress especially with the resumption of schools.

People have hardly heard of these nameless "hotels" that are more of sex centers. There is currently no light so CCTV will not do much.

What kind of protest?
The major message of the protesters is for all runs gals, slay queens, oloshos , et all, to repent and leave the streets.
That will be the starting point of evading untimely death.
Except those killed were kidnapped NY unknown people, which I doubt.

But seriously, the police isn't saying anything.
What's the investigation so far?
If the hotels are culpable, they should be shut down and seized or demolished by government.

The fact that they are runs girls or prostitutes doesn’t mean that they have automatically lost their Rights to life. I’m sure if any of your sisters or relatives ended up in such a manner, your response would be completely different from what you typed! Please, Let’s try as much as possible to show empathy!

The level of insensitivity in this Nigeria. I sometimes do think we are doomed.

Women r dying and what your warped sense could think of or come up with is they deserve to be killed. Because according to una deranged brain, they r prostitutes. And prostitutes deserve to be killed abi.

Talk of being sentimental n judgemental.

I would have kept shut but sometimes dz idioticc mentality most of us have, thinking we are smart and better than others would be our doom one day..

By una logic, everybody, including you, deserves to die then because if u dig deep enof, there's a bigger chance u wud be just as guilty as d "prostitutes" u hate so much.

A lot of mad animals in human clothing. Just because u sin differently doesn't give u d audacity to utter words senselessly or type rubbish.

While I don't support prostition and would never be a prospect to such market, it doesn't give me the right to kill someone involved in it.

How people's lives have now turned to commodity baffles me...

It's not as if they force u to come n buy market na..

U all need Jesus.. Plus u need to stop whsatever it is that you're drinking, smoking, watching or reading that's feeding u negative energy.

Someone shared how a lady wanted to lure her to sell her product to her in a hotel. She was game until she started hearing a male's voice in tje background telling the lady what to tell her. That was when she smelt trouble and refused to meet her in the hotel.

Read that story too, the sad part is that almost everybody in Nigeria including myself is selling something if not full time, part time.

Dumb Nigerians always quick to justify murder when it involves females. Do you know the victims from anywhere? Even if they were into prostitution, do they deserve to be killed like that?

One of the victims was an entrepreneur and married mother of 3 who was lured on phone by a woman pretending to be a customer. The most recent was an hotel staff working in same hotel where she was killed.

You can comfortably sit behind your keyboard/pad and spew judgements on murder victims until one of yours is added to the growing numbers. How would you feel if people judge them them the way you're doing now?

Good day friends.

Something happened last Sunday that made me begin to question these serial killings of women.

I came back from Service and got a call from a strange number, a female.
She said she saw my number in a Longrich Wine flier and that she will like to buy the wine.

The Entrepreneur in me thanked God that my prayers have started working and business is moving to the permanent site.

We talked about the price, but as we were talking, I was hearing a man's voice from the background, telling her what to ask and co.

She left the Wine she saw on the flier and asked about the Sanitary Pad and Panty Liner and I told her their prices.
She mentioned the hotel she was in and we agreed I will deliver to her at the reception by 5pm.

Few minutes to the time, I called her to let her know I was on my way.
She acknowledged that.

I got to the hotel reception and called her that I was downstairs.

That was when gbege started.

Lady: Come up to Room 207.
Me: Pardon?
Lady: Come up to Room 207.
Me: That wasn't the agreement. You said we will meet at the reception.
Lady: I am not dressed. Just come to the room door and I will come out and give you your money.

From the background,,,,

Male: (muffled sound) What is she saying?
Lady: (muffled sound) She hasn't agreed.

Me: Madam please dress up and come down. I will be waiting at the reception.
Lady: What is there na? I told you I am not dressed. Just use the lift.

Like say i never use lift for my life before, and should be jumping up at such privilege,,,,Kai,,,Ijeomaaaaaa!!!

Me: Well my dear, I am not dressed for coming upstairs. If you cant meet me at the reception, then, I will be on my way going.

(Muffled discussion between Male and Lady)

Hmmmmm

Lady: Is this how you treat your customers,,,bla,bla,bla.. Just come upstairs na.
Me: Do have a nice day, Ma.

Hangs up.

Woooow.

Wasted t.fare,,,but that one no pain me.

On my way home,, I don't know why, but the images of the dead ladies with white handkerchiefs round their necks in hotel rooms, kept flashing through my mind.

What if this is the way these victims were lured?

Just what if?

I gisted my Colleague this story yesterday and before I could say anything about my thoughts on the handkerchief saga, my Colleague said,,,,What if this is how they lure all those girls of white handkerchief to the hotel?

Please ladies, especially Entrepreneurs, lets be careful of where we meet customers to transact business and delivery.

Always insist on open places and avoid going at night.

If anything had happened, nobody would have believed I went there for genuine business...

Most people for say na ashawo business I go do.

As much as we hope on God's protection, let us also, protect ourselves, by applying caution in cases like this.

Please share,,,,,a life may be saved by this experience.

People died and men are blaming the dead. There is no excuse for killing anyone.

How could you blame the victims? Why would you say it is right, the killer was right to end them, he had the right? Are you better than those who died ?

Women died, and atop thier dead and buried bodies, i swear, even after something as grave and terrible as death, men are still blaming them.

Mr man, none of the girls killed were proustites or hookers ,they are all entrepreneurs so its the responsibility of the hotel to provide an information on the number of persons that used that room between a period of time [probably records or CCTV] but most the the hotels don't have any of them which were supposed to aid investigation....so the protest was to create an awareness and put an end to all these scrappy hotels all over Rivers State...there are buildings you will see in pH that unless you are told you won't believe that such a place is a hotel and such places are where most of these crimes are committed
