Evil visited Asaba on that faithful day, men both young and old were lured out by the Nigerian military and were massacred..Emma Okocha's Blood on the Niger is a harrowing narrative of the darkness that beclouded Asaba on that very day..I recommend this book to any student of history or anyone interested for that matter, be warned this book could leave you traumatized for life..

Osibanjo went to Rwanda to pay condolences for the Genocide that occurred there.

While after fifty years of the civil war, Nigeria had not even acknowledged the genocide of igbos and the various massacres that happened before, during and after the war.

They have tried so hard to erase that history.

Fortunately they failed.
Oga there was no genocide against Ibos what we had was a civil war where the ibo leadership failed to secure food for it's population. Respect to all those who lost their lives on both sides of the divide

You are lying , what Nigeria did against the Civilians in Biafra is war crime. They block all food aids from international organizations from reaching refugee camps. In war there is an international corridor for food supplies and medicaments to reach the refugees.

Which evidence are you looking again, wasn’t Awolowo the architect that starve young children to death once said that what they did is part of the war game.

Ojukwu kept giving some unacceptable preconditions for food aid to be brought in to Biafra. He intended to use pictures of the starving children for propaganda purposes. There was no genocide on ibos

To imagine that the Fulani leader of the murderers (Murtala Mohammed) have monuments named after him while efforts is made to obliterate the memories of the victims from our psyche. angry

You are still lying, what make Cameroon to have better control of Bakkassi is because Gowon and Awolowo gave it to Cameroon so that they can block food supplies heading to Biafra. Cameroon troops occupy Bakassi till date.

Yes! Delta and Edo states were Mid-Weserners at that time. But their military officers were on the side of Biafra.

Blockade is a legitimate form of warfare, go and read the history books. So you expect the enemy to allow you access to supplies while your army kills their soldiers abi? There was no genocide

The worst thing about the Asaba massacre was that the man who supervised the killings of unarmed men, women and children, Murtala Mohammed, is today honoured as a Nigerian hero

A demon of a man, Murtala Mohammed, is who Nigeria put on the N20 Naira note to remind us all that mass-murderers are honoured in Nigeria as long as they are Northerners

That makes it worse because it means that Nigerian Soldiers went to Asaba, a territory of Nigeria, and murdered Nigerians in cold blood

Of course, we all know the Nigerian Army did this because Asaba is an Igbo city

May God punish the Soul of Murtala Mohammed
