President Muhammadu Buhari has repeatedly flouted court orders and directives, making a mockery of his promise to uphold the rule of law.

Below are four (4) times court orders have been ignored:

Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife

Both have been in DSS custody since December 2015.

In 2016, Justice Kolawole ordered their release within 45 days and awarded them ₦24 million each as general damages.

Till date, however, they are still in detention.

Former NSA, Sambo Dasuki

He is facing multiple charges on illegal firearms possession and $2.1bn arms scandal.

He has been granted bail by several court orders, yet he is still in detention.

SERAP Nigeria

A nonprofit advocacy organisation that  is devoted to promoting transparency, accountability and socio-economic rights in Nigeria.

The group led a lawsuit against the FG for its failure to respond to their FOI request for names of looters and monies recovered in 2016.

In 2017, Justice Hadizat ordered the FG to make the names public. 2 years after, this court order is yet to be obeyed.

Omoyele Sowore

He was granted bail on the condition that he deposits his international passport within the court premises within 48 hours.

3 days after the judgment and meeting the bail conditions, he is still being held in DSS custody.

Its unfortunate that some people saw him fit to rule, his ineptness and democratic dictatorship is still unclear to his gullible, illiterate followers .

Sometimes I don't blame the Igbos who call this country a Zoo, we are actually governed like animals .
