Yet, some miscreants prefer hawking gala and fan yogo on the streets of this "mega slum" to staying back in their Dubai standard cities.

No you are wrong

Most Igbo in Lagos pay rent to their Yoruba Landlords at home and at shops

But all the Gala sellers, wheel barrows pushers, fan milk sellers, meat pie and garden eggs sellers in Lagos are all Igbo

And they're far more richer and responsible than the agberoes/touts permanently stationed @ the bus parks always asking for "owo da"

Saying it doesn't make it so, the wretched souls among them are more than the rich one

Lagos is not Anambra that is a beggars colony

Those agberos asking for "owo da" are doing their job unlike your Lazy brothers in Anambra that are Almajiri beggars

You even made it to BBC news because of your exploit in Begging

To call Lagos a megacity is an insult to megacities.
What would we then call Singapore, London, New York, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Munich, Barcelona etc

You see this is my problem with Nigerians. Even in this day of internet where you can simply go on the web, type in "megacity" on google and see what comes up, we still have this ill-conceived notion that Lagos or any other city in Nigeria is a megacity. Dubai, a city in the UAE, fast and still developing, possibly at the very least 100 years ahead of Lagos, is still not satisfied with the level of exposure and development. They want to do more, they aspire to do more. The evidence of what they are doing and what they plan to do is there for all to see. You do not need to pay some unemployed fool (such as This OP) to go write a blog about the city, it is there for millions to testify to both now and for the foreseable future. Megacity without meaningful development. Transportation Zero. Quality Housing Zero. Airport Zero. Hospital Zero. Security Apparatus Zero. Ambience Zero. Roads Zero. Cleanliness Zero. But yet some fools will argue, i simply don't understand whether it is being gullible, stupid or a combination of both with an extra sprinkling of madness that is in vogue these days.
We have got to start calling spades by their names.
Lagos is a slum and Nigeria as a whole is a shithole. Our leaders both past and present have made it to be as it is and we the followers are not helping matters.

Check the definition of a mega city if you can read and comprehend

A megacity is a very large city metropolitan area, typically with a population of more than 10 million people. Precise definitions vary: the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in its 2014 "World Urbanization Prospects" report counted urban agglomerations having over 10 million inhabitants.

Thats why i said it is over population that makes it a mega city. Even your google definition agrees to that.

The physically challenged persons pictures you posted are they not better than the young bloods that instead of working to earn a living at their vibrant age, they decided to roam the streets, parks and markets with hot drinks looking for noble hustlers okada riders, bus drivers, market women, shop owners etc to extort money from them morning and evening?

They end up smoking and drinking their lives away with the money the made and go back to beg again with sticks and bottles.

You should’ve joined the same job instead of coming to defend nuisanity?

A megacity is defined SOLELY by size...
The ordinary (UN) definition is a city of 10 million or more.

Accordingly, Lagos is a megacity.
