How relevant is the Holy Spirit to you as a Christian today?in Acts 10:38 Jesus Himself was quoted to be anointed with the Holy Spirit and power. In the book of Acts 19:2, Paul asked if some Christians he met had received the Holy Spirit. The Bible was quoted that Paul quickly made sure that they received Him because it was written that Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power and went around doing good because God (the Father) was with Him.. Could not having Him be the reason why some Christians seem powerless? As Christians, do we still need the Holy Spirit? Do you have Him? What has He done in you and your life? The Bible said we should be filled with the Holy Spirit and not with wine! .. Share your experience (if any) if you have received Him. 1 Like |

dalass:they were never Christians but were of baptism of John the Baptist until Paul baptized them with the holy ghost what do you mean by Christians seems powerless? Who is saying some Christians seems powerless? every Christian already have the holy spirit in them. The moment you believe that Jesus is the Christ, that is the holy spirit in you. the holy spirit is not meant to do anything else but to remind you that you are saved the moment you believe. Every experience of physical achievements the holy spirit will not help you do any. You will be the one to do and achieve them yourself like anyone else. 1 Like |

There is actually no Christianity without the holy spirit. Jesus acknowledged that... He said the spirit will teach us all things The holy spirit is God living inside of man and Christ Jesus did the finished work for the spirit of God to live in man. So I will say we cannot be Christians without having the holy spirit inside us cos it is even difficult first of all for the flesh to please God 1 Like |

dalass:they were disciples of John the Baptist before Jesus was crucified and not disciples of Jesus Christ. After Christ has gone they needed to be confirmed into the discipleship of Christ. 1 Like |

dalass:look at it this way, Before the event of Act1:8 there was nothing like Christianity on earth. So when you read bible consider the time difference. All the disciples who followed Jesus before he was crucified were never Christians and were never saved, they never had the holy spirit. But the moment Jesus resurrected, the holy spirit in Act 1:8 was made available for as many disciples at that point who still(i use still because many other disciples lost their believe at the time Jesus was arrested and crucified) believed in him. So, every Christians today believe, that means they have the holy spirit in them. 1 Like |
