A Lagos based Non- Governmental Group (NGO), Ibile-Eko Forum, which have its members spread across the fifty - seven (57) local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State, Nigeria and in diaspora, confirmed that they will be distributing over five million exercise books and other materials to primary school pupils across the state.

In a statement by signed by the General - Coordinator of the group, Barr. Felix Odusanya, "Ibile-Eko Forum is an initiative for the emancipation of the downtrodden and the dream to enhance purposeful leadership and administration in our immediate environment, Lagos State and the country at large."

He added that: "The project which is an initiative of Ibile-Eko forum will provide five million (5 Million) exercise books to all pupils of public primary schools in Lagos State to support their education.

Speaking on the purpose of the programme, Odusanya explained that the enormous problem threatening the primary education is beyond the provision of exercise books to the pupils, but they have decided to confront the challenges.

Appealing for more interventions, Odusanya calls for more supports from interested and concerned persons, groups and ministries.

The distributions of the exercise book have since commenced and more than five thousand pupils in Lagos State already benefitted. Beneficiaries are from various schools which includes; St. Micheal Primary School II, Ojo Town, Local Authority School II, Isashi Town.
