What l dont like about this sort of thing is when Yiu say you are investigating a crime and you then LURE and ENTRAP the person into the Crime.
By going to meet the lecturer and asking for favours that you are not entitled to, you are already a part of the crime (and we can argue that the Lecturer may not have been interested in you, if you did not go to ask him for this favour).

it is called ENTRAPMENT and you are even an ACCESORY to the Crime~!.
