Revenue coming into Akwa Ibom State from statutory allocations and from other sources have increased significantly since 2015. Akwa Ibom State is in top three of the most funded States in Nigeria.

Yet, since Udom Emmanuel became governor, there are no improvements in quality of life indices, education standards are on a free fall, good public utility and social security services are totally absent, etc.

The distress alarm has been sounding so loudly that nothing by the Udom Emmanuel led Akwa Ibom State Government is averagely working. It is obvious that most Akwa Ibomites were better off in 2015 than they are today. Perhaps, we need a BBC documentary on Udom Emmanuel's failure to jolt into the reality that all is not well with Akwa Ibom State.

Udom Emmanuel Destroys Health Care Delivery System

About four years ago, Udom Emmanuel inherited a state-of-the-art Ibom Specialist Hospital complete with a team of medical experts. Because it was built by Sen. Godswill Akpabio, he refused to pay the experts and other workers. Also, he left some of the equipment to rot away, but was pressured to reopen a shell of what the hospital used to be.

About two years ago, Udom Emmanuel lied that 100 container loads of medical equipment had been bought for Akwa Ibom hospital and health centers. He boasted that 25 of the 100 containers were already offloaded for hospitals in the State. Yet, the best of Udom Emmanuel's propaganda hospitals is worse than any community medical center in the civilized world.

Citizens Forced To Beg For Help

These are how come most Akwa Ibomites with serious medical issues are forced to beg profusely and queue for help from Udom Emmanuel. No hospital in Akwa Ibom State can successfully handle their serious and critical health matters; they are too dirt poor to afford any good medical service away from home.

When Udom Emmanuel is sober enough to give help to the sick and dying, the beneficiary must be a verified PDP supporter, go through a long and winding bureaucracy and must glorify no other person than the "onlygod" governor.

Nobody will beg Udom Emmanuel to sponsor health care trips away from Akwa Ibom State if the Ibom Specialist Hospital is working well. But, Udom Emmanuel loves to be begged.

Nobody will care to launch an online campaign for donation of funds for medical bills if Udom Emmanuel can facilitate just one effectively working hospital or provide any social safety net for medically challenged Akwa Ibomites. But, Udom Emmanuel must be signified and dignified no matter which method is used.

In just four years, Udom Emmanuel has written his own autobiography as a clueless and habitually lying governor. Now, he is doubling down to become the most callous Akwa Ibom leader using weapons of poverty, poor healthcare, condescension and petty politics against Akwa Ibomites.

I thought Akwa ibom has been experiencing improvements in livelihood over the past three administrations. I don't know if I'm wrong. We knew nothing was on the right path before, yes. But noticed a pivotal ascendancy and positive improvements. Yes definitely one of the top funded states over the past years due to oil revenue and oil. But then is Akwa ibom really as bad as this thread depicts.

That's one state I dearly love. So please Akwaibomites educate me on first hand basis please

This is a Propaganda from the governors enemies no mind them.

Akwa Ibom is now among the top 7 most economic viable states in nigeria

Pre Udom we weren't up to even 20 in economic index.
more jobs have been created though more is needed, roads, hospitals, schools are being constructed and renovated.
though Udom has his faults but.he is a very good governor

Most of the good roads in UYO were built by Akapbio. He really tried for the state. Akwa ibomites won't forget his laudable achievements in a hurry.

All I hear on radio these days are "we have built 18 industries" (Audio industries)

You have 18 industries and there's still mass unemployment in the state.

Nigerian politicians are pathological liars.

You need to ask how many workers these industries can take. You don't expect 18 industries to accommodate all unemployed people in Akwa ibom.

The question should rather be, how many workers have these industries employed?
